"The property has stunning views and spacious rooms but lack little things like tissue or a waste basket. Our room wasn’t as clean as I expected with random hair in the bathroom. The bathroom had glass walls which is ok but a door for toilet privacy would be appreciated. The shower floor wasn’t tile but linoleum that gave way as you stepped on in. There is a restaurant and bar. Food was tasty. Did not use the pool or spa. "

"This bnb is a gem in every way. The location in the historic district is perfect. You can walk everywhere. Car parking is very easy on the street. The bnb itself is stunning and comfortable. Our room was absolutely beautiful. The bathroom was like none other we have ever seen. The host was friendly and helpful, and her breakfast was remarkable! The directions connected to the listing took us to dead end roads. We finally got near the location and we thought that it was still wrong because it was in a little village and it looked like an abandoned house was there. "We arrived early and a young man checked us in but we couldn’t go into our room yet so we were going to Che k out some of the sites. He helped us and gave us maps and info. He was very helpful. He spoke English and Portuguese and he understood that I was trying to use Portuguese so he was patient. Our room was excellent with a king size bed which we had not had in a long time. It was quiet and didn’t transfer motion. The room was very clean and spacious. We used the pool and loved it. Everything was great. We would stay there again."

"Modern hotel. Travelling on motorbikes secure parking is very important to us. We were able to book the hotel garage parking on-site for a fee, you access the garage via an electronic door at street level (note, there is a steep spiral ramp with a camber to access). Small comfortable room with air conditioning. Breakfast options were good. Supermarkets and shops etc very close by. Would recommend."

"Lovely clean spacious room with all the facilities we required. We did use the pool while at the hotel and thought it was excellent with plenty of sun loungers. We had breakfast at the hotel and the food was tasty and plenty of choice. We didn’t have an evening meal so can’t comment on main meals. Overall excellent value hotel and I would have no hesitation in booking again if I’m ever in Chaves."
