I booked the hotel for its proximity to Parc de la Tete d'Or. The staff were helpful and friendly, the room clean, the breakfast mediocre, It's close enough to one of the tram lines so you can access the city from it,

Not in the nicest part of town and while the rooms were spacious and perhaps at some point a few decades ago even upscale, time has taken its toll and the property was just average at best. The worst was that the air conditioning was not working well. Our rooms couid not cool below 27-28C and even the breakfast room was quite warm. I mentioned to the front desk at checkout that our rooms ac control in both rooms seemed to be a problem and they told me that none of the in-room controls work; the hotel has a main AC setting and depending upon the location of the room, some cool more than others but they’ve have been experiencing problems with the AC system overall! From my perspective, when a hotel claims to have AC and you book it based on thst information, they have a contractual obligation to provide reasonable cooling no more than the room should be clean and the bed reasonably comfortable. In this regard this hotel failed. In turn our rating of 2 stsrs seems generous but staff was helpful in other ways. Budget stay in every sense of the word.

It is a nice, neat, and friendly space to stay! The area is not the best at night, but very well located. Many things were within walking distance and accessible by tram.

Lovely hotel with fantastic staff. Rooms are very spacious with modern bathrooms. Breakfast is slightly limited but for us it was more than satisfactory. Internet access was free and very reliable. Underground parking at a very fair price. All in all a little gem which was perfect for our needs as a family. Kudos to the staff. We will definitely return.

This is a very pleasant hotel, with sizeable rooms, a very comfortable bed, great shower, and big, openable windows, in a friendly, pleasantly diverse neighborhood with a lot of small ethnic restaurants, as well as a grocery store and drugstore, on the plaza next to the hotel. It's 15-20minute walk through a lovely park to the convention center. The staff were very helpful. It's ideal for visitors with meetings in the conference center, if you want something more local feeling than the big chain hotels in the conference center. I really enjoyed my stay.

Hôtel de Congrès is in a slightly interesting area - some good transport connections but it's not the easiest hotel to get to. It's in the middle of a housing estate which you have to climb stairs up to (and then work out which way to go to get to the actual entrance of the hotel). The staff are very helpful although early check-in for us didn't happen: we were able to use a loo in the hotel and leave our suitcases before heading back out for the afternoon. Reception is open all night. Breakfast is from 6:30 every day - this was good as we checked out early but were able to eat before we left. Really nice food and a good selection of it including viennoiseries, cereal, bread, fresh fruit and yogurts, crepes and a really nice range of juices and water.

very good hotel a minute away from espace de la tête d'or centre des congres. also near the gorgeous parc de la tête d'or. the staff is very nice and helpful and the room are very clean and very big.
