Colorado Basecamps
10/10 Excellent
"I stayed at Colorado Basecamps for 1 week while attending a WFR course. Although I could have chosen to camp, I wanted a nice comfortable bed, electricity, and protection from the elements so I could study in the evenings. My stay was fabulous! The beds and giant fluffy pillows were very comfortable. Every morning I was treated to a homemade breakfast burrito to take with me to my class. Evening s'mores were just what I needed after a long day. Leslie and Tyler were the best hosts. They have created a fun "glampground". I am excited to see what new treats they have in store for the future. Looking forward to coming to play in the nearby mountains next summer! Thanks for providing a wonderful experience!"
A Riverside Inn Travelodge by Wyndham
10/10 Excellent
"Great place to stay if you’re planning to hike in the area. The hotel is at approximately 10k feet above sea level and only about 30 minutes from several major trailheads, making it a convenient base for hiking and acclimatizing to the altitude. There’s an Asian fusion restaurant right next door, with several other dining options within a 7-minute walk. The staff was friendly and helpful throughout our stay. The only drawback is that there is no elevator, so you’ll need to carry your luggage up to the second floor."

"Great 3 bed room suite"
Best Western Vista Inn
10/10 Excellent
"Very pleasantly surprised! It's been a long while since we've stayed at a Best Western. First off, the staff here were INCREDIBLY helpful and friendly. Hands down some of the best customer service we've ever had - not just at a hotel, but anywhere. Second - the breakfast was delicious and had something for everyone. I'm gluten free and they even had an area with a dedicated GF toaster, gluten free muffins and gluten free bagels. My husband enjoyed the pancakes and breakfast burrito bar. Beds were comfy, rooms were spotless. We will definitely be back!"
A cozy log cabin in the Rockies! Close to Buena Vista or daytrip to Breckenridge
10/10 Excellent
"This place is AMAZING! Beautiful cabin, gorgeous surroundings and views. Peaceful, serene and filled with wildlife! Our hosts were VERY communicative and prompt in responding when we had a question. Every single thing you could need was in the cabin and it was immaculate! We instantly felt cozy and at home. There really is no need to look any further if you want a cabin near enough to BV but far enough to feel like you are all by yourself in the woods. Get here, folks. You won't regret it. We miss it already!"
BV Overlook Camp & Lodging
10/10 Excellent
"Such an amazing place!! I can't think of a better jumping off point for the collegiate hiking area. The site is super cool.. great rec room. Very close to town but also far enough out to be peaceful. Night sky view was amazing. I was worried since I would be coming late / after dark but they left detailed instructions and everything was great. I'll definitely return and would highly recommend it!"
The Irish Rose - a Colorado Dream Vacation Spot - Secluded!
10/10 Excellent
"The Irish Rose is located on a beautiful and large piece of property at over 10,000 feet and on the road to Mosquito Pass. There are no other buildings in sight. When you first arrive you see the back of the house which is rather modest, but once inside you experience a large wall of windows that look out on trees and mountains. We were able to see moose and deer through the windows and while out on the wrap around deck. Nice hot tub and we had what we needed in the house. You can walk down to the creek as well.Take county road 12 and not 10 to avoid a difficult road. When coming from the north, pass through Alma and travel a short distance to a right turn onto CR12. Enjoy!"
Rodeway Inn Leadville
8/10 Good
"The demolition project adjacent to the entrance was a bit unsightly"
Winmar Cabins
8/10 Good
"Our cabin was clean and modern. Outside looks dated."
