"Best cottage we've stayed so far. Clean and very well stocked with anything you might desire. Superfast internet, Netflix included, beautiful area and dog proofed patio to let the hounds smell fresh air without escaping.Comfortable bed, cozy bathroom. The building was to be lived in permanently and that shows in each and every part.The hosts are incredibly welcoming and we had some sparkling with scones and freshly baked bread waiting upon arrival."

The Thatch Inn

8/10 Good

"This hotel is a historic building that is showing a few signs of age on the outside. There are the inevitable multiple changes in floor level through the building. We had a small ground floor room so avoided the steep stairs. The shower was very small. The room was quiet, looking out onto the carpark. Parking was free. Check in and out was automated so there was little contact with hotel staff other than in the restaurant. Breakfast and dinner were good. The hotel is best for guests with a car as it is some distance from the centre of Gloucester."

"Off to a sterling start with quick and easy check-in, room was really nice, big, spotless and very comfortable bed. Considering the size of the room, the shower could have been a bit bigger! Otherwise everything was perfect. Good night's sleep. Up until Breakfast that is which was an absolute shambles! We wandered down just before 9 am considering breakfast went on till 10.30 am to find that they had ran out of such things as baked beans, pastries, muffins and the like. Waited absolutely ages for a re-stock on hot food. So long that someone cleared away our drinks that were still on our table so that when we went back to it it had been re-set!! Not so good. Need more staff on at breakfast time and certainly the kitchen need to be more aware of a full hotel when serving breakfast till 10.30 am not to run out of stuff at 9 am!! Other than breakfast the stay was great."

"The hotel smelled of humidity. The TV in the room didn't work. I went to change the remote control 4 times. Finally, I asked them to test it in the room to see if it worked. They put the remote control down and left. I went upstairs and the TV still didn't work. Since I can't sleep without a TV, it was important to me. The hotel is definitely not worth the price they are asking. And they are especially asking for extra parking from the customers who have already stayed"

"The staff of the Ramada, were very nice and attentive nothing was too much trouble they made you feel very welcome. The hotel was very relaxing the room was big it was clean as was the bathroom. It is a place i would highly recommend. It is a very warm atmosphere so so relaxing too."
