Cozy Belwood Bunkie Retreat - 10 Min to Elora Gorge
8/10 Good
"We had a lovely stay overall. If you’re looking to get away from the city for a night or two and spend some time surrounded by nature, this is a great spot. Being right beside the cornfields made it feel very peaceful and relaxing, and it was exactly the kind of quiet escape we were looking for.
The bunkie was well-equipped and had everything we needed. The hosts had clearly thought of the little details—there were plenty of BBQ supplies, games, and other essentials, so we never felt like anything was missing. It felt like a comfortable glamping experience with the convenience of having everything ready for you. Check-in and check-out were both simple and hassle-free.
The only thing worth mentioning is the bathroom. It uses a portable-style toilet, which wasn’t an issue for my parents, but I’m personally a bit particular about bathrooms, so it wasn’t my favorite part of the stay. It’s not necessarily a negative—just something future guests may want to be aware of before booking.
We didn’t have much interaction with the hosts beyond a message before arrival, but everything was straightforward and easy. Overall, it was a beautiful, peaceful place to disconnect, enjoy nature, and recharge. We’d definitely recommend it to anyone looking for a relaxing countryside getaway."
"Older building with lots of history. Original floors and some fixtures. Oub was a great place to have some drinks and good food. Breakfast was amazing."
"Every detail was considered— from the outdoor speaker and table lights on charge when we arrived, to the Aveda trio in the outdoor shower, this country pool villa is a resort property for two! The kitchen is fully equipped, the lux king bed is what dreams are made of and the garden framed pool is the unplug, reset and recharge my husband and I needed. Steaks on the bbq, cocktails poolside, and once the sun sets, movies in bed. The ultimate weekender, we’ll be back."

"The host was very friendly, accommodating and super easy to deal with. This was my very first VRBO experience and I felt that it went really smoothly. I had to follow up with the host on a couple things and they were very accommodating and made me feel like their "guest". The host had a small variety of dishes and cutlery available, a microwave and small fridge. No coffee maker or coffee mugs. (I had my own travel mug) and I always travel with my own coffee maker. I feel this location was appropriately priced for the condition of the beds (2) and furniture. If you're expecting a royal palace at this price you will be disappointed. I was happy with my 3 night stay and it served my purposes."
