Love love this hotel. It was very clean and staff are super friendly. I’m definitely staying here again and will recommend everyone to check this place out. We took advantage of the bus right in front of the hotel. You can cross the street and be at the most peaceful part of Lake Luzern. I enjoyed my walk and dipping my feet in the lake. I can’t wait to go back! Oh and the breakfast was heavenly.

Highly recommend this Hotel. We got upgraded (a lovely surprise) to a room with view over Lake Lucerne, beautiful. The room was spacious and very clean. The staff were always friendly, very helpful. A bus stop outside the hotel was perfect to get into Lucerne but walking along the lake on the pathway to Lucerne was preferred, easy, safe, entertaining and just stunning. The common areas of the hotel were inviting and very comfortable. Breakfast had enough variety to please everyone, delicious. Thanks for our perfect stay.

Walkable but convenient to the bus stop and the hotel provides a bus pass! Great Mountain View’s along with lovely landscaping. Breakfast buffet nice but not varied so by day 4 we were bored of choices. Had to have a fan brought to room as AC was inadequate except in the hallway which was really cold. Would definitely stay here again though!!!

Elegant hotel with beautiful gardens, fantastic location with balcony view of the lake, at an affordable price. Excellent breakfast and modern facilities all round in rooms, retaining old world charm and beauty down stairs, and still for an affordable price. Property is being fully renovated so only a portion of the rooms are available. Our room was very nice, remodeled, and great design. Restaurant was ok with very limited menu. Breakfast is excellent. Staff very nice and helpful.

Whilst checking in the staff were excellent and explained everything fully in order to make the most of the visit. The free use of buses was discussed and it was so easy with the bus stop being right outside the hotel.

The hotel located very close to the lake Lucerne with awesome lake view room and balcony. The room was clean and the bed comfortable. Hotel staff was very nice, gave us suggestions on sight seeing and transportation options in Lucerne. Breakfast was tasty with wide selection and frendly hostess.

We had a great stay at this hotel, especially the bar staff was wonderful. The food was also very good, we enjoyed sitting on the front porch relaxing, enjoying a drink and dinner. Beautiful area, walking distance to the esplanade is a just across the street. This hotel is just out of the busy tourist area which we loved. There is more of a walk to the old town area but worth it because it is just beautiful. The hotel did provide bus/tram passes for all of us however we did not use them. They also arranged for our taxi to the train station. The hotel is obviously older but the rooms have been updated and are very clean.

The pictures posted on the listing do not do it justice. The property is very pretty. The front desk staff is very helpful. One of the managers, Conrad, helped me with parking the car and to solve an issue with the rental car. The rooms are spacious, newly renovated with updated amenities. There is a great view of the lake from the room balcony The bed was very comfortable. The bathroom was very modern. Lots of outlets to charge. A bonus was an included breakfast that was delicious with a lot of variety. I highly recommend this hotel.

Overall this hotel was decent and I would stay again. 1. The air conditioning is quite weak, somehow I don't think the conditioner is sized correctly for the room's cubic area as it took ages for it to change the temperature - with the windows closed, and radiator off. The hotel is evidently well-insulated but getting rid of excess heat is an issue. 2. Car parking - specific numbered spaces are allocated but multiple times cars were parked in different spaces, including the one assigned to me - just a free for all. There's no real need to allocate a specific space though as long as the hotel doesn't over-provision, which I don't think they would. 3. Breakfast - the selection was diverse but some staff members are much better than others at helping - there's a clear gap in the training levels with some who are really good and some not so great. The hotel caters mainly to tour groups and I think there were maybe half a dozen non-group customers staying at any one time.

Hotel is in the nice and quiet area of Haldenstrasse. Its about 10 min drive to the train station. Ensure that you got everything in the "downtown area" like shopping, food and etc. Considering this is in Luzern everything is closed almost after 9:00 pm except maybe some kebab and pizza place or Mcdonalds and Burger King. We got the lakeview front room. However the view is not full due to some treees and building in front. I dont recommend if you want the view but worth if you want the extra room size. For the amenities, towels are replaced and beds are made. I dont believe the room is cleaned except for taking out trash. There were 2 still and 2 sparking water on 1st day that were not replaced. Also included is free breakfast. It's a standard western breakfast buffet. Its a great positive since most food in the city are expensive. Theres also a free luzern city card that allows free bus and boat ride for your duration of stay.

We had a great stay at this hotel. Was the room hot at first? (It was 30 degrees and sunny outside.) Yes, but it cooled down once the ventilation system started up, and we all slept well. We had a room on the first floor, and the cutest little balcony. If you're looking for a brand new hotel, this is not the place for you. But its age is its charm, and we enjoyed the elegance of this hotel very much. It was sparkling clean, and all the hotel staff was friendly and helpful. We had a great supper in the bar. We would stay again without hesitation.
