EC Reed's Mercantile and Hotel

"I had a very comfortable stay at E.C. Reed's Mercantile hotel. The only reason I gave 4 stars instead of 5 is because it is an older building with the typical problems that come with that. I noticed that the floor was a bit unlevel and I would have liked to have seen a staff person while there. It's just comforting to see other people. I arrived after hours so I knew that, going in. However, it is a very safe and friendly town so I wasn't too worried about any nefarious activity. The bed was extremely comfortable and the room is decorated very tastefully. Very clean all-around. I also appreciated having coffee and a bite to eat for free!"

"Great location for events at The Camp, the boat launch, and a swimming beach. The property is clean, nicely decorated, and comfortable. We especially liked listening to the birds, catching fireflies, and waving to the friendly neighbors while sitting under the pergola. Check-in was easy-peasy, and communication with the host was great. We will definitely stay again."

"Husband and I were looking for a quiet secluded getaway where we could fish. So we rented this property for 2 nights. The house was very very clean. Didn't take advantage of the hot tub but it looked to be a large size. Lake is actually a shared pond with neighbors but we had fun fishing it. Was very surprised at the lack of mosquitoes! The bed was extremely comfortable. The shower was so so nice. Plenty of hot water and great pressure. The only negative i can say is the neighbors are quite noisy but polite when we encountered them and the selection of pots and pans were really bad. Absolutely would visit again but would bring my own cooking utensils. "
