It was a very neat experience! Highly recommend you stop here and get away from big chain hotels for a night. The staff were super friendly and the restaurant/store was so nostalgic!

This hotel is perfect!!! We loved the check in process which is the easiest i have ever encountered. The hotel is so cute and nostalgic. I fell in love with the room, the lobby and the restaurant. Very nice people here. The food was absolutely delicious. The music playing in the hotel lobby was lite and relaxing. The bed in room 6 was so comfortable like a big fluffy cloud. The mercantile has the most unique items. I wish i would have time to visit the old time soda shop. The coffee bar was awesome. I love the patriot coffee k cups . The honey for the coffee was top tier. There is nothing about this place that we did not love. Please do yourself a favor and stop by, i promise its worth the stop. There is also a small barber shop at the entrance of the hotel. Thank yall for the kindness shown to us and we cant wait to visit again

Beautiful older building in a quaint, friendly little town. Worth a segue from the beaten path for the peaceful experience. The owners are friendly and we did not have any issues while there. The bed was comfortable and there are few local restaurants for dining out. Will definitely consider staying again for our next trip through Missouri.

We didn’t see any staff and everything was out and waiting for us. The property is very well maintained and quaint. There is coffee, water, and snacks for the continental breakfast. The hours of the Mercantile were limited.

I had a very comfortable stay at E.C. Reed's Mercantile hotel. The only reason I gave 4 stars instead of 5 is because it is an older building with the typical problems that come with that. I noticed that the floor was a bit unlevel and I would have liked to have seen a staff person while there. It's just comforting to see other people. I arrived after hours so I knew that, going in. However, it is a very safe and friendly town so I wasn't too worried about any nefarious activity. The bed was extremely comfortable and the room is decorated very tastefully. Very clean all-around. I also appreciated having coffee and a bite to eat for free!

Perfect hotel! Cute updated rooms with onsite dining, barbershop, and mercantile store. Easy parking and cute little shops around. We stayed in a four room block and had an excellent gathering of family. Owners were spectacular and the food was excellent! Will be back!

The owners and workers are very friendly, the rooms are very clean and the bed was very comfortable. Their kitchen had a great breakfast, country fried ham was a huge hit. We will definitely be back.
