"I really liked the price and the caretaker of the property. She was extremely helpful and kind. Be prepared for the Hostel experience though ... my "room" was cold! the outdoor shower was cold. The outdoor bathroom was cold. If you are prepared to deal with those things, you will love this place. If you are not, you will complain. I loved it!!!"

The staff and owners were super friendly and helpful, offering great suggestions on where to go and what to see in and around the park. "Location was great....easy to walk to shops, restaurants, aquarium and stroll along waterfront trail. We stayed in the Wilderness Suite. Great having a kitchen, nice den area. However, if you plan on anyone sleeping on the futon in the den be aware it is hard a brick. Also double check to make sure linens are in the room for futon....we discovered very late our first frst night there were no linens. Also, as noted by others, it is an old building which we liked, but if you are looking new...

"The photos of the outside make it look drab but inside it's nice, clean, modern. Staff friendly and helpful. It's on one side of the highway. Be careful not to overshoot it. It is on the right as you come in, down below the highway level. If you drive over to the other side, you are one minute away from the docks and the area where tourists show up at the offices to join their boat tours. Parking on the other side is crowded, though, so give yourself time to find a spot."

"We enjoyed our stay in Seward and the B & H was a large part of that. The location is fantastic. Getting in out is very easy. With that being said our room did not really lock. You could get the latch to catch but a little pressure and it would open. We did not feel safe leaving our valuables in the room. The staff was fantastic. Gave a place to relax while we waited for the room they were putting a TV in. All in all we really liked it and would stay again. Paulette and Gina."
