"Stayed in the annex. It had a/c which was very much needed on the day we stayed. In the 70’s. A/C was on when we entered the room which was great. Good location for boat tours. Good parking. It’s a little over a mile walk to the shopping area. Room was very good and comfortable. I would definitely stay here again in this same room. Unsure if all rooms have a/c or not. There’s a restaurant apparently owned by the hotel. I enjoyed the food, prices were typical Alaska), but I felt my portion size...

"I really liked the price and the caretaker of the property. She was extremely helpful and kind. Be prepared for the Hostel experience though ... my "room" was cold! the outdoor shower was cold. The outdoor bathroom was cold. If you are prepared to deal with those things, you will love this place. If you are not, you will complain. I loved it!!!"

"The photos of the outside make it look drab but inside it's nice, clean, modern. Staff friendly and helpful. It's on one side of the highway. Be careful not to overshoot it. It is on the right as you come in, down below the highway level. If you drive over to the other side, you are one minute away from the docks and the area where tourists show up at the offices to join their boat tours. Parking on the other side is crowded, though, so give yourself time to find a spot."
