The check in process was quick and seamless. However, advertising that consumers can pay at check in and then calling minutes after making a reservation to collect full payment is false advertising and shifty. The beds creaked and made noise when maneuvering yourself. Of course had the beds been comfortable, there’d be less shifting required. I definitely didn’t sleep well and woke up with body aches. The bathroom was clean and the water was hot, but the tub was peeling in several places and the linens were low quality. The other guest were noisy. People arguing. Kids jumping around on the floor. Babies crying that can easily be heard from your room. Wanted to call the front desk, but of course the phone in room didn’t work. All of this would have been expected and acceptable if the price was low. But hiking up prices significantly for the Derby without any extra accommodation is criminal and a shady practice.

The electrical wires were exposed in the bathroom which is a huge safety concern. The floors were warped and peeling. Dirty surfaces. Bathtub was peeling. Brought this up to the staff and they didn’t say anything about it, or even offer to switch us to a different room.

BED BUGS
this hotel has BED BUGS! we saw them as soon as we got in the room and immediately checked out. The front desk clerk was SLEEPING at the desk. We had to scream multiple times to wake him. When we informed him we’re leaving due to bed bugs he just said “yeah that happens, want another room?” When we obviously declined he said “ok my manager will give you a refund” but the manager refuses because it’s “against policy” lol I’d think having BED BUGS would be against hotel policy. This place is disgusting and the owner should be ashamed.

The water was rusty/dirty so we did not shower. there were live cockroaches - if you can see them , you know there is easily an infestation. I did see other reviews on cockroaches , so I am not understanding why they would not do a full scale extermination.

*Will update once refund is given* - In the bathroom there was several cockroaches. Thoroughly creeping us out and worried about other infestations checked the bed, mattress & what we seen immediately made us abruptly & without hesitation to leave the room, alert the front desk & check out. We requested a refund immediately as with the bugs, infestation & such in consideration of also having a serious allergy to the bugs I feel like if ever there was a reason for a refund, even in a no refund policy situation, that instances like this where a health inspector could be requested etc. that the property would have no cause to deny the request, especially since no one should be subjected to such conditions, nor be told that even though I didn’t stay that the refund wasn’t processed & approved upon discovery. Especially, since now after inquiry in our own circles that apparently we aren’t the only ones it’s been reported by, a pattern of advisement from several local residents to the hotel management, yet the issue persists and now I don’t even know if I’ll get my deserved & owed refund as surely the money paid can’t legally just be kept, can it? The hotel clerk at the desk advised since we used Expedia to book & pay that Expedia would need to be the one to cancel the booking and ultimately refund the money paid, especially since the amenities section nor the disclaimer alike neither mention the infestations & potential danger to those who have severe or serious

Online pics are not what you get!!
We stayed 23rd, I booked online since the hotel had good reviews. The pics online are very deceiving, Livy is good but rooms are terrible. I usually don’t leave reviews but this was terrible. The hotel is dated and very loud. Our room was by their courtyard and guys were drinking outside and partying , they were very loud. Our room was dirty, beds were clean. Our room floor looked like they hadn’t mopped it for awhile. Bathroom floor was worse than main room floor. We had non smoking room but the room smelled like smoke. I was with my son so we stayed one night and checked out early, if I had been by myself I would not have stayed i this was not safe for female traveling alone.

Maintenance of rooms( floors, windows and sills, bathrooms need refurbished). Most hotels/motels nowadays have a complimentary breakfast other than just coffee or tea. Every morning and evening we noticed bugs on the bathroom floor. Toilet was loose and would rock when you sat down on it. Simk and bathroom counter was the best asset in the whole room. Tv was great although very difficult to choose channels with the remote given. Somewhat unsatisfied and we probably will not stay there again.

There were roaches in the bathroom. The towels were stained. There was pubic hair in the bathtub, the corners of the floors looked like all the dirt was swept into the corners. Housekeeping came and knocked twice before checkout and they called from the front desk to remind of checkout. The smell of marijuana was overwhelming.

Only stay here as a last resort
Disappointing for a Motel 6 to be so dirty. Our linens were never changed even though housekeeping was in the room to take towels and leave supposedly clean ones. Soap was the only toiletry provided. No “do not disturb” signs available to stop them from coming in your room. I’m disabled and asked for a room on the 1st floor preferably near the front. Was told they were sold out and had to take the room they gave us on the 2nd floor, all the way in the back opposite corner. Parking lot reflects they were not sold out.

Check-In was super slow and could not hardly understand anything the lady was saying. Room looked somewhat ok curtains was very dirty and should not be hanging up in any of the rooms. The towels provided need to be tossed in the trash suppose to be white but look cream/tan colored. Plugs on one side of bed did not work. Plug in bathroom did not work. I would not recommend this place in any way shape or form. I will not be returning or using any Motel 6 again.
