"Cottage was great, handy book with info, few treats left for us including treats for our dog. Had a great peaceful comfortable relaxing stay. Some bits id recommend would be an edit to description of closed off garden/front area, couldn’t leave dog out there off lead for toilet as wall very low he could jump it easily if he wanted to. Although instructions were given for location, those using tech would benefit more from coordinates or using the ‘what three words’ function to pin-point...

"Very comfortable cottage with all the necessary amenities. Good location for exploring. You can hike to the coast path without using the car. Rachel, who helps out the hosts at the property was great...very friendly and attentive. "

"It was a beautiful cottage but there is a smell of damp in the en suite after using the bathroom on the 2nd day which was quite strong. Beautiful cottage in a lovely area"

"Absolutely nothing wrong with the Hotel. Brilliant . 5 Star.
Unfortunately, Hotels. Com only charged for one person to have breakfast during our stay, so as soon as we arrived i had to pay a further £42 for my wife's 3 breakdasts.
I alco had already paid About £45 in taxes and Fees to Hotels.Com, which i would have not incurred if i had booked directly with the hotel.
So lesson learnt. About £90 out of pocket due to Hotels.com more than required. However as i said the Hotel was terrific .

"The Alvarton always earns high marks for exceptional service and luxury accommodations whenever I stay. Always a pleasure to see the staff, rest in the historic rooms, and dine in the restaurant and bar. I look forward to staying again. "
"The room was really clean, and staff were friendly and helpful. The pools were lovely and warm and food was delicious. Would definitely come back again. "
"Everything was amazing staff friendly, atmosphere was phenomenal. Ee did two toyrs abd Elliot was great, shame we didnt meet a ghost. The only small thing was, the coffee could have been hotter at breakfast"
"Everything was excellent! All of the staff were extremely helpful, pleasant and attentive. We used the bar, restaurant, reception, and spa. We stayed in two rooms both were very nice rooms and very clean and comfortable. The bar was very cosy with a fabulous log fire and the service was excellent. The food was very good in the bar and the restaurant. The pool and facilities were very clean and warm. All in all a wonderful stay. Will definitely recommend and return. "
