Walk out the other double french doors in the kitchen to another patio where you fill find built in banquets for relaxing or reading in the shade. Located in the lower part of the property. This villa was just completed redone and has never been on the rental market. A TRUE GEM. Exposed rustic beams, stone arches and rustic chandeliers adorn this unit, giving you the feel of old Spain.

Amazing place, amazing host

Diego was a superb host and the property was gorgeous! The house is conveniently located near the Hollywood bowl and easy to get into town but just far enough removed from the hustle and bustle that it was quite in the evening. Anyone in the area I would recommend staying here 10/10

Cozy and Quiet Retreat

This property is located in a cozy and quiet neighborhood. It was conveniently located within 15 minutes of the most places that I needed to be. The property owner was very responsive and accommodating when needed.

Excellent location and neighborhood!

This is duplex is unbelievable, you have to see for yourself.. house is very clean and nestled in a quiet neighborhood. I would highly recommend this to anybody going to Los Angeles. Nothing negative to say Host is A++

Hollywood Vacation

The villa is very charming and well kept. Upon descending down the stairs you come upon the beautiful courtyard and villa. My husband and I enjoyed our stay. We were walking distance to all our planned activities. As expected public parking is scarce but owner provides a city approved parking pass for use. We enjoyed our stay and look forward to returning some day.

No complaints just a recommendation to better your tenants stay.

My husband and I came in town to celebrate our anniversary. The villa was exactly as listed and accommodated us very well. I would only add one recommendation for future guests. Add more curtain panels to the windows for privacy. The windows and doors are great for daytime to let the sun in but the option to close all curtains without huge gaps should be an option for those who are accustomed to a little more privacy. Thanks for hosting our Los Angeles stay.

Dishonest description of the property

The property has 40+ steep steps to entertain the unit. Beyond being difficult to descend and difficult to bring one’s luggage down, if one has any disability they would not be able to use property. The owner does not make this explicit. I had just had surgery and wasn’t allowed to carry things down steps. I contacted the owner to tell him this wasn’t clear and asked if I could cancel. I had only booked the day before. He said no and said I should have understood this because he used the word “villa” in the description. To intentionally not listing this fact clearly is unfair and duplicitous. He was completely callous and uncaring. He told me that he was sure I could find someone to help me carry my things in. Further, It is tough to find parking here. The property is comfortable enough but at this price point there are many homes in favorable locations with more convenient and safe access.

Very disappointing/pictures misleading

We didn’t have a nice stay unfortunately. I would not stay here again. The pictures on the listing are either extremely outdated or heavily filtered because it didn’t have the same look/feel in person. The second bedroom isn’t really a bedroom. It’s a pull out couch in a tiny section of the other bedroom that’s separated by a door that you can hear everything through (you also can’t close the “bedroom” doors when the couch is pulled out). The pull out couch was so broken and uncomfortable (think metal poking you) that I had to put in a complaint. Diego was audibly annoyed that I would even complain about this. He reluctantly sent cleaners with a blow up mattress the next day and then acted like I should be thankful that he went out of his way. I didn’t go on vacation to sleep on a blow up mattress. He was condescending throughout our entire exchange and it made me feel uncomfortable. The worst part of our stay was how filthy the place was. I was grossed out to eat off the plates and sit on the couch. If we walked around without shoes the bottoms of our feet were black. The sheets were damp and rough. The glasses had gunk on them. Everything is old and dilapidated. The patio/steps outside must have not been cleaned in ages. There are more things to note but I’ll stop here. I can see from previous negative reviews that Diego’s tactic is to discredit the reviewer and deny any wrongdoing so I’m sure he’ll do the same here.

Unique Hollywood Neighborhood

We had a wonderful stay and would stay in this property again. Diego responded quickly to our communications. The detailed description of how to find keys, where to park was very helpful and parking was always available on the block. The public staircases in the neighborhood were a fun way to explore, find beautiful views, the "Hightower". We loved using the outdoor space, which felt like an extension of the interior, for relaxing in the sun, coffee, afternoon wine/snacks. The property was clean, very open common/living room area, and had good lighting.

Hollywood Hills Haven

This beautiful property did not disappoint! The authentic Spanish style architecture renovated to perfection was an idyllic way to experience unique hillside living. The location could not be better as it is walkable to Hollywood Blvd and close to freeways making it convenient to get anywhere. The outdoor space is the best part with morning sun and plenty of space to gather and marvel at California's essence. There are only a few things to consider. The 2nd bedroom is very small with a pullout couch better suited for 1 person vs a couple. This is a duplex so be aware that guests could be above you.

Peaceful Villa

We had a pleasant stay! Two ladies could have used more than one wash cloth each for 5 days! Plenty of towels and great shower! Difficulty finding the UNLOCK button on the outside gate! The second bedroom has a pull out couch which slants downhill and reaches the door making it difficult to get out of the door! Very uncomfortable for a 5 night stay! Enjoyed the beautiful patio area!

Had a great time at Diego’s home. We walked to concert at Hollywood Bowl easily. Beautiful old California architecture and style. Very comfortable home. Only issue was parking at certain times but solved by parking on adjacent block.
