This is a charming property, in a really great neighborhood. It's a cozy space, perfect for hanging out, has great views and is located where you can get to many places with ease. Our host was very communicative and made sure our stay was comfortable. Would definitely stay there again.
My friends and I had a great time staying here for a wedding we attended in LA! The place was cute & cozy, and we had a great time sitting outside watching birds in the backyard in the mornings. I would definitely stay here again!
Had a great stay here with my friend & brother back in May! David's spot was clean, centrally located (Silver Lake is one of the best neighborhoods in LA). In addition to a lovely space, David was incredibly responsive to any questions I had (even though he was away in Europe for work!).
Would definitely stay here again in the future!
The place was great as far as decor, cleanliness and beds. Would probably rent a different place for granddaughters that is more kid friendly. However, perfect for adults!
This two bedroom suite was perfect! Clean, filled with art, plants, rugs which made it a pleasant place to stay. David has equipped his VRBO with so many of the items you need to make yourself a meal - refrigerator, microwave, toaster oven, toaster, coffee maker, electric kettle, plenty of plates, glasses, cups, cutlery, etc. In addition, plenty of towels, blankets, kleenex and various sundries - shampoo, moisture, etc.
It is in a nice neighborhood and with a 15 minute walk or so, down a hill to restaurants, coffee places, and even a yoga studio. Therefore quiet when inside and close to places to go when you want to venture out.
David was attentive and answered my questions when needed.
I highly recommend his VRBO!
Thanks David for being a wonderful host.
Visited LA with some friends for a long weekend, and rented David + Jennifer’s lovely sunny property. It was perfect for our needs and just as described in the listing.
The space is clean, tidy and came complete with basic kitchen/bathroom essentials, ample sheets and towels, and we loved having access to a washer/dryer.
We felt safe and secure at night, and didn’t feel crowded. The bedrooms are both good sizes (enough space for luggage and shopping bags), and the living room/kitchenette area is comfortable for chatting (loved that there were vinyl options for tunes).
The neighborhood, which is nestled snugly on a hill overlooking Los Feliz below, is safe, quiet, and lush with local fauna. My group of 3 were all in from NYC, and found it walkable too - just a quick 10-15 minute stroll down the hill each morning to Hillhurst for coffees at Maru.
During our stay, we rented a Jeep and found street parking easy - we never more than a few steps from the property each night.
Our host David was easily reachable and quick-to-respond to any questions we had.
Would love to come back and stay again!
We had a wonderful stay. Our host was always available to help with any questions and instructions were very clear. We would stay here again the next time we visit LA.
My wife and I visited LA for the '24 Holidays to reunite with our adult children. We are retired now living in New Mexico, mid 60's and semi-active walkers/hikers. The property is located in the foothills just above Prospect Studios with narrow streets and steep terrain, thus many stairs built into the landscape to descend/ascend the rental which is an isolated extension of a split-level, older home accessible through the north-side yard of the property (if my orientation is correct). The concrete stair steps leading down the side yard to the property are of solid construction but uneven and inconsistent with a very necessary stair railing attached to the side of the house. Watch your step, especially with luggage. The interior is dated but features two TV's, we couldn't get the bedroom TV to work. The 'kitchenette' is a hodgepodge of small appliances, coffee maker, mini fridge, dishes/cups/glasses/flatware and 'hotpot' for boiling water. There are two older, low couches and coffee table comprising the living room/kitchenette area, two bedrooms, one bathroom, one small converted laundry room/utility closet with washer/dryer. The rental has a full bathroom with sink, toilet and shower which is small but adequate. Overall impression: we grew to appreciate this rental property, but older clients should be advised that going down and up concrete stairs - especially with luggage after dark - requires good balance and plenty of caution while using the stair railing.
