Anniversary weekend

Property is amazing. It’s right on the ocean. We enjoyed sitting on the beach and watching dolphins from the apartment at sunset! We will be back!

Great Beach House

The property is lovely and exactly as described. The furniture (indoor), sheets and supplied toiletries are high-end for a rental of this price in this area. The owner/manager is very responsive and helpful, We would definitely rent this property again.

Fantastic property!

We had the best time at this Malibu property! House was even better than the photos. Weather was great - full Strawberry moon on Summer Solstice night. Beds were fantastic too - we all slept so well. Was very sad to leave. The owner was a dream..so nice, so available, so informative. Check in was a breeze. Don't hesitate...book it now. Thank you for a great stay!

Amazing Getaway

My wife and I spent two days here for our 21st anniversary. I can’t even explain the beauty and prime spot of this location. The location has everything you would need for a getaway and is exactly what we were looking for. M(the host) was outstanding and so very easy to work with. Listening to the sounds of the waves and ocean were a total stress release from the hustle and bustle of the city. We will for sure be coming back and will bring an another couple for a retreat in the future. Thanks again to M for hosting a wonderful stay.

Floating on Waves

The most important feature is the location of this property. It sits on a short cliff above the beach. This results with waves crashing into the beach under the property. The sounds of water and waves is breathtaking. This experience is spectacular and overshadowing other features of this stay. This feature alone may be worth staying at the location. The management was extremely helpful and responsive. They provided great service and their support throughout was greatly appreciated. We had some issues, but they did a great job mitigating. The owner/management were wonderful. Overall, the pictures are fairly accurate. The house is updated, cosmetically. Newer floors and decent furniture. However, it is a beach house. As such, it shows its age as an older location. First floor bathroom door did not close and the door knob was not fixed. We could not use the toilet, since the crack in the door overlooked the toilet. The dryer was not working, but this was a one-off. The manager was supportive and tried his best to mitigate. The sound of cars on the road can be heard from within the property, but not when you are closer to the water. The other issue we faced was cleanliness. We are quite particular, so it was likely fine for most. For us, it was B-. Nothing major, per se. But, things like food crumbs on the chairs and around the table, areas not vacuumed well within bedroom, and no swiffer/mop. Again, the manager was responsive and provided us with supplies.

91 year old Dads vacation

We enjoyed our stay. I was disappointed there was no handrail for the stairs. My Dad had to sleep on the couch downstairs as he felt uncomfortable going upstairs with no hand rail. We enjoyed sitting on the deck . The tide was too high to go out on the beach area. Overall we enjoyed our stay.

Annual Friends' Gathering

House had great space for enjoying the ocean, hanging out and catching up. The waves crash up onto the lower deck during high tide, was amazing! But you can only walk on the beach during low tide. Master bedroom had breathtaking views. We saw dolphins and seals from the house.

Stunning location

This home is cozy. It's decorated very simply but with the stunning ocean view, it works. If you're a cook who likes her space, the kitchen will disappoint, with missing amenities like microwave and sharp knives. The internet was spotty and slow speed, but if you're looking to get away from your everyday life, that'll do the trick! The home is on an area of the beach that is accessible only at low tide and for just a few hours a day, but those few hours on the sand were delightful and stunning. The view is unmatched however, and, we even saw dolphins. The master bedroom on the top floor is romantic and comfortable.

Perfect Weekend Escape

While I really wanted to rent the place for the location and the view, the place was so nice. It was much nicer than the photos. It was absolutely lovely. The roar of the waves with high tide coming in was refreshing and so fun to experience. I have never stayed quite on the ocean like this and it was a treat. This is a wet beach so we went to the beach close by during the day. The manager was very responsive. I didn't have good phone reception, but this is just what it is like by the beach in general so nothing to do with the place, but the manager emailed me and the internet worked well, so it was perfect. I'd definitely come back and rent this place again. Perfect weekend and exactly what we needed.

Pros & Cons

The place was clean and was pretty much as depicted in the pictures, although some of the furnishings are becoming a little worn. The view of the ocean was amazing and we really did see dolphins swimming not far from the deck. The property manager was nice and very responsive. Three things folks should know that aren’t entirely clear from the listing. 1. The place has no AC which usually is not a problem but we were there during a heat wave. We were able to cool the place down by opening the sliding doors and windows but there are no screens and so many bugs joined us. 2. Although there is a TV as promised, it is in the guest bedroom where the only furniture is the bed and thus there is no place to sit and watch it. Also, you can only watch what you can find through Roku. 3. There are two parking spots as promised. But, the place is only about 20 feet from the side of the Pacific Coast Highway which is four lane and heavily traveled. The two parking spots basically are on the berm of this very busy freeway-like highway. The people on the driver’s side literally had to wait for a break in the traffic to get out of the car.

Absolutely heavenly

Malibu is a very special place for me! Being that close to the water and enjoying the best sound machine ever every night is incredible since you are right on top of it! The house is perfect for small groups and entertaining, sipping wine and having dance parties! Cooking up a storm! Also when you want to take a moment and take in the romance and also sitting and reading a book by yourself, on the patio! It’s cute, Qwaint and the perfect little cottage ! I can’t wait to come back!
