We got a message from the host while at the airport at the gate waiting for our flight to LA. They cancelled our reservation 7 hours prior to the announced check in time !! Which was midnight. So go figure, we had to find a place to stay and book it while on the flight. They offered an alternative, but NOT for that night, and the following nights' cost would have been almost 100 per night more than our original reservation.On top of it, we are still struggling to get all of our money refunded, since the host did not cancel our reservation in the VRBO system, and VRBO yet has to refund their portion. Not to speak about the insurance we book for eventual damages. No idea, if we will get that back.So - I don't know how the stay would have been. But the whole situation is completely unacceptable, and the handling of it afterwards as well.So beware!!
