"We had great experience staying in this comfy barn conversion. We felt like we had scored on Escape to the Country and still had access to Exeter, Dartmoor National Park and the beach. Christine is a helpful and attentive host. "

"I would say the photo's oversell this. The rooms are spacious, but walls thin so you can hear everything next door. my 'double room' was in fact 2 singles pushed together, 1 of which was broken and the bathroom was outdated to say the least. On arrival, the guy behind the desk was just talking over us and rushing. It wasnt awful, but wouldnt be rushing back sadly"

"Its an old thatched pub and the room shape and conditions reflect that - sloping floors and wonky walls but the bedding , towels etc were clean and fresh. Rooms are above the bar so not quiet until the pub closes. Pub downstairs is friendly and has a good atmosphere with plenty of choice behind the bar. They serve food but I didn't try any so can't comment on that. Reasonably large attached car park although theres no covered area or anything to chain a motorcycle to."

"An attractive and very comfortable cottage for our family of 4 adults plus 2 small children. Comfortable bedrooms and good bathroom facilities. The kitchen is quite small but worked well though could have been better equipped (a couple of extra bar stools would have been useful and more glasses and crockery - ideally free of chips). We enjoyed the garden and grounds and Nikki was a very welcoming and responsive host."
