It is the little things in life that matter Yesterday, I noticed many people burning paper piles along the street. I know that this kind of paper is called Joss Paper(maybe jinzhi - ้‡‘็บธ) and that it is usually burnt for offering to the dead. I will ask my students and try to get a better answer later, but in any event, it is a tradition that is displayed without much pomp and circumstances and speaks to Chinese culture. Do your thing and move on...very cool.
