"This home is a described but better!!Beds were comfortable, kitchen well stocked and was in a quiet residential area close to the beach!!! Kim is a fabulous Host and made sure we knew about things to do.I give this home and Kim 100 out of 10. Would rent this place again"

"We had a great stay at the property! The kitchen and bathrooms were well stocked, much better than many other properties we have stayed at. The parking area was huge. There was plenty of room for four trucks with four large trailers, and there was still room for more. The host was responsive and accommodating. Would definitely stay again!"
Agate Beach House - waterfront in Grand Marais

"We loved our stay at the Agate Beach House. It is such a fun place to stay. We woke up every morning to a beautiful view. We enjoyed the decks and the beautiful yard. The house is a quick walk away from Agate Beach which is great for rockhounds. We were there Labor Day weekend, so the parking lot at the beach did get busy during the day and also at night with people looking for Yooperlights. It was fun watching everyone coming and going and super easy when we wanted to join in the hunt for rocks. The deck on the garage is great for stargazing and enjoying the morning sun. The deck off the back was peaceful, and more private. Inside, the house is vintage but very comfortable with plenty of room to spread out. There were board games and plenty of books around for additional entertainment. There is no air conditioning at the house, but there are plenty of windows and great air flow throughout the house. The host also has plenty of fans available, if needed. The beds were comfortable with extra blankets available. Our host, Molly, was very easy to contact, and quickly responded to any questions. If we find our way back up to Grand Marais, we plan to stay at the Agate Beach House again!"
Plover Retreat - Cute Cabin Close to Town, 5 min. from beach

"Plover Retreat was clean and cozy. Our dog truly enjoyed the area to run around in the yard. Perfect walking distance to Grand Marais. Very comfortable sleeping. A few suggestions : improve signage re: the dangerous hill down to the stream. Update the info re the beach. It is definitely more than a 5 min walk. It took us a few tries to figure out we needed to search for the path on Ellen St. it is not well marked. We were not sure if we were crossing private property. Once we found the beach, it was delightful! I would suggest adding more glassware and pots and pans with lids that match for cooking. Otherwise we had a wonderful time with plenty of solitude, exploration and joy in Grand Marais. Thank you."
