"Great hotel with excellent staff who were welcoming and very helpful. We enjoyed our stay here. Room was large and comfortable with very comfortable beds. Nice bathroom. Excellent hearty breakfast."

"Great property. Spacious with wonderful views. 9 miles from Stromness ferry terminal so about a 20 min drive. Very quiet and peaceful spot. All you could want for some R&R."

"Linda was very helpful, we lived meeting her! She suggested a great restaurant for dinner and we were so happy for it. Our room was clean and comfortable with a nice view of the street below and park across. The room was very large with a separate loveseat to sit on and relax. Breakfast was great and the serving team was lovely."

"The staff at the County Hotel were very friendly, helpful and obliging. They were always on hand to answer questions and sort out queries. Breakfast was very good and there were a selection of different choices on offer. Rooms were clean and tidy, especially the ensuite bathroom."

"What a delightful place to stay in the charming town of Stornoway! Just a block off of the harbor on a quiet street. We stayed in the adjacent location which had a full kitchen and all necessary amenities, as well as a large television. The breakfast, including gluten free and vegan options, was simply extraordinary with wonderful choices, including homemade pastries by the owner. Our stay here just enhanced the overall experience of Stornoway. Highly recommended!!!"

"Had a lovely stay in Lewis at the Old Croft House, very spacious comfortable and clean rooms, location was an ideal base. Our hosts were Fab, Callum rang us after we had left to say he had found a bracelet in one of the rooms, we said we could go back for it as we had lots of time before the ferry but he insisted in coming to meet us at the ferry with it.We would highly recommend this property."

"This is the best cottage I have ever stayed in! It felt like being at home, it was very comfortable. The cottage is very well equipped, everything you need is there. Even plenty of towels, toilet paper, tea, coffee, sugar and the most generous welcome pack. The hosts are very friendly and there were some minor issues (none of their fault) that they solved directly. And the island is magnificent as well. Quite a trip from the Netherlands, but I hope to be able to come and stay there again!"
