"Staircase to rooms leaves a lot to be desired. Very old and dirty. The room was very small, claustrophobic! Terrible smell from the carpet (old dog smell) kept me awake at night despite the window wide open. Breakfast was poor. Low quality products not well cooked. The setting is beautiful but sadly the standard of upkeep outside and in does not do the area justice. On a positive note the staff were very nice and helpful and restaurant dinner was lovely."

"Wonderful stay - beautiful views and short walk to amenities. Property has everything you need, lovely conservatory and decking, and pretty garden areas."
"Lovely room with a balcony and view over the locks. Good fish restaurant and excellent breakfast. Staff ok for the evening meal. Very good for breakfast. Pet friendly."
"Although it said seaview room, this did not happen. Beds were clean and comfy. We were put in a disable room (that none of us needed) there was a trip hazard with carpet between bedroom & bathroom. The wet room which had poor drainage and after 3 people showered the water flooded the whole bathroom. Without us putting down towels water would have seeped into bedroom.
During our 3 night stay there was no change of towels or beds made although someone had been in the room to empty bins. For the price paid I would have expected a better standard of accommodation. Breakfast was fine, but only offered gluten free bread as an option."
Beautiful 10 person modern bungalow in Bruichladdich with stunning views
10/10 Excellent
"Property was clean and nicely appointed. Location was very nice with a great view. Close to a bus stop, distillery and a mini mart. Also a great walking path from Bruichladdich to Port Charlotte. Communication with Claire was easy and prompt."
"Well equipped, cozy cottage in one of the nicest parts of Islay . The photos are pretty accurate. but Lochindaal is lovely as is Port Charlotte both easily accessible from the cottage. The wee log /coal burner was surprisingly effective. Bring slightly smaller logs if you’re bringing your own. Loved Islay our trip was helped by great weather, a comfortable base, fantastic scenery as well as the whisky. Hope to be back soon. Margaret"
"Good location, near the harbour in Bowmore
Room very good, very clean, comfortable bed, nice bathroom with bath
Property is currently changing hands, the sale completed this week
As per previous reviews the previous owner served full Scottish cooked breakfast- the new owner is just doing prepared continental breakfast boxes which you help yourself to from the fridge
We were not expecting this and were quite disappointed. There is nowhere in Bowmore where you can get breakfast so be aware"
