"Room was clean but clearly the hotel allows dogs to stay which we always find disappointing. The breakfast was great. The evening food was very good. Staff were all friendly and polite. Enjoyed staying here with our kids and would stay again. Price was reasonable."

"My son and I stayed at Afon Gwyn late August for 3 nights with the intention of climbing Snowdon and to visit other local attractions. The hosts Gareth and Rana were lovely from start to finish. I really enjoyed chatting with both of them about all sorts of things and they were so helpful throughout our stay. I remember Gareth saying ‘we are a bed and breakfast and it is essential we get those two things right’ and they certainly did. The breakfast is without doubt amazing. The full English clearly has everything clearly sourced from quality local providers and I recall my 21 year old son saying ‘I wish I could have breakfast like this everyday dad’. Then there’s the beds. We stayed in the Robinson room and Gareth kindly arranged for the twin beds to be ready and made up before our arrival. Both my son and I slept very well every night and were ready for the day ahead. Gareth and Rana take great pride and passion into doing everything they can to ensure your stay is a memorable one for all the right reasons and would stay there again without question if travelling to Snowdonia. I look forward to having seeing you guys again one day and this time if Rana’s lucky she might get Adam to do some washing up in the kitchen, hehe. Thank you both of you."

"Our room was very well decorated and very smart . The colour theme of black and white was modern and spotlessly clean. We liked the modern bathroom and spacious shower, also very clean and looking very new. The bed was comfortable and the view across the valley was pleasant. Staff were helpful and pleasant. Breakfast had a good choice and was well cooked.We would have preferred to have been served our coffees / teas rather than use the help yourself facilities which were a little awkward. It was in a good situation being near the centre of Betwys for walking to eateries/ shops."

"This was a nice place to see this corner of Wales from. There are 3 bedroom all upstairs. There are 2 bathrooms, one upstairs and one downstairs. The stairs are narrow and steep so if that is an issue for you please note. To open the front do you need to lift the handle up at the same time you are using this key. We had not been told this so we had a hard time getting the front door unlocked. In addition there was only one kitchen towel. Nothing to hand wash dishes with or to wipe down the counters. No paper towels, no pot holders. The descriptions says there are not bath towels but there were towels for us to use. There is a French press for coffee. Other people had noted in the guest book there they loved the welcome gift. There was no welcome gift, just a bit of older coffee on the counter. It would have been nice to have a few amenities as I have mentioned."
