Property was absolutely beautiful!! We had so much fun riding around on the trails and enjoyed the peace and quiet. Cabin was cute and had everything we needed. Very comfortable beds. We would definitely stay here again!
Beautiful hill country getaway. Loved the UTV that was provided to be able to explore the property and take in the wildlife and fishing in the creek. Extremely quiet and peaceful surroundings. Lodging was perfect for the two of us and the grounds were well maintained. Will definitely be back.
Very quiet and peaceful. Just the sounds of nature with shade and great views. The property is very well kept. The use of the buggy was a great addition!!!
Absolutely loved my stay here. It was even better than the pictures. So peaceful sitting outside in the mornings and watching the sunrise. Will definitely be back many more times.
Absolutely amazing property and peaceful. My son and I enjoyed campfire and stars at night. Kitchen was more than adequate for meal prep. We enjoyed the fishing and my son enjoyed the kayaking as well. We got a few bites from the hungry bass. They are well stocked there as we released those we caught back into the water after
This is a beautiful and comfortable.place to get away from it all and enjoy a few days of serenity in the beauty of nature. The ranch was ours to walk and explore. We enjoyed it immensely. Andi is a thoughtul and responsive hostess.
Our gps didn’t get us all the way to the location so we got lost for a minute but once we found it everything was great. It’s a hidden gem! Cute, clean cabin with cozy bed.
If you’re looking for a few days of peace and quiet close to nature but still have all basic creature comforts accounted for, this place is great. We had great weather and spent almost all of our time outside with our children and cooked meals we brought over the large fire pit each evening. A perfect getaway for a small family of non-campers that wanted to simplify for a few days and get out in nature.
My wife and I truly enjoyed our stay. No traffic noise; only nature sounds or just silence. The cabin was very comfortable and functional. The acreage was fun to explore, both on foot and using the cart. The fire pit allowed for great fires, and we appreciated the s'mores fixin's left for us. And the wildflowers all over the property were outstanding. So much color and beauty. We will definitely return.
My husband and I thoroughly enjoyed staying here. Remote location, off the beaten path - it was what we were looking for, and then some. Gorgeous views, an abundance of deer, porch swings, fire pit, barbeque grill, smoker, and a Polaris to use during your stay.
I have stayed at several properties using VRBO and all were very nice, but this is the first one that I would like to visit again. It is very clean, and both bedrooms had very comfortable beds. We could not be more pleased with our stay. The host was quick to respond to any inquiries that we had and very helpful.
We stayed here a few nights for New Years. This is our second time doing so (first was at the Pike House (same property)). The house is perfect and has everything you need. Well decorated and cozy with a comfortable bed. But our favorite part is roaming the property on either foot or the provided Polaris. The silence is the absolute best part followed by the abundant wildlife. Firepit is great and large with plenty of provided wood. We love the property but I think our dog loves it the most. We hope to be back soon.
We stayed at the cute cabin on Hill Country trip to pick up wine and visit a couple of new wineries! Very accessible to Marble Falls, Llano, Burnett, 290 wineries and Fredericksburg. Quiet and great star-gazing when clear skies. Bedrooms worked for us, although mattresses were softer than we would choose. Bathroom is small but roomy. Shower is tiled in white with a place to sit if needed. Kitchen had enough plates and flatware; pans for cooking if needed. Small eating bar in kitchen. Cozy sitting room. Patio outside was wonderful! We did not use the firepit because we were not there very long, but will on another visit. Could see ducks and birds every morning. Also saw deer one evening. Had fun using the Cart one evening around the property. Highly recommend if you need some peace and quiet, or a place for your young ones to move around!
My wife, our two cattle dogs, and I just returned from a six-night stay at this incredible cabin, and it was every bit as wonderful as our first visit two years ago. Nestled between Sandy Creek and Comanche Creek on over 80 acres of stunning Texas Hill Country, this place is a true gem. The patio, just 50 feet from Comanche Creek, offers a front-row seat to nature—complete with a clearing across the creek where deer often bed down for the night. Our dogs couldn’t get enough of it!The property boasts numerous trails, and our favorite follows Sandy Creek with a gradual climb in elevation. At the top, you’re rewarded with a clear view of a bald eagle’s nest right across the creek—no binoculars needed. We were lucky enough to spot the eagle three times: once perched majestically above the nest and twice soaring in flight. Absolutely breathtaking. We also explored the trails on the provided Polaris, spotting deer every day and even a few wild turkeys along the way.Beyond the wildlife and the occasional wave from the ranch hand, the silence here is profound—a perfect retreat to recharge and soak in the beauty of God’s creation. The hostess, Andi, is hands-down the best we’ve ever encountered; her hospitality elevates the experience to another level. We can’t recommend this place highly enough. If you’re looking for peace, nature, and a welcoming stay, book this cabin-you won’t find a better spot or a better host!
Let me start by saying that we were thiiiiis close to seeing if the property had availability to extend our stay, because we did not want to leave. If we hadn't needed to be back home for Thanksgiving, we definitely would've. You won't want to leave this place!
Our host, Andi, was very responsive anytime we had questions. I'm happy that she included the coordinates with the property details because Google Maps didn't quite get us there correctly. From the minute we entered the beautiful property, we saw deer. From then on, we saw cardinals, a flock of wild turkeys and an armadillo even walked right by us as we sat on the porch one evening!
The house has all the amenities you need for your stay. My advice would be to make sure you wipe your shoes off as you enter the door, because we inadvertently brought a few sticker burrs in, as we unpacked our belongings from the car. You'll only need to step on them once, to remind you to wipe your shoes well or take them off and leave them by the door!
Make sure you use the buggy and explore the property. We watched sunsets from one of the clearings by Sandy Creek and it made for a beautiful way to end the day.
While the creeks by the house are somewhat dry right now, the super friendly Ranch Manager told us to walk down to a different part of the creek and we were able to fish.
We would return to this property in a heartbeat. If you're looking for peace and quiet, this should be your next visit!
The cabin is a little slice of Heaven tucked away on this beautiful Hill Country property. My husband and I both agree that this is by far the best stay ever. Cabin was clean and cozy. Unlimited firewood, beautiful scenery. The gobble of the wild turkeys sounded beautiful to me. So peaceful. We enjoyed driving around on the buggy. Memories made!Thank you!Ratliff's
We absolutely loved our stay at this cozy little cabin on the ranch. It was so quiet and peaceful — the perfect escape for my husband and me. The views of the Texas Hill Country were stunning, and we left feeling completely refreshed. Highly recommend for anyone looking to relax and reconnect with nature!
If you're wanting a nice, quite, secluded stay, this is a great place for that. No traffic, noise, or neighbors. Cabin is very up to date and comfortable.
