Laurel Pod - UK47203
A wonderful glamping pod complete with bubbling hot tub, in a beautiful rural location, yet just 30 minutes from the coastal towns of Formby and Southport.. 1 step to entrance.
Shower Room: Cubicle Shower, Toilet. Underfloor central heating, electricity, bed linen, towels and Wi-Fi included. Lawned rear garden with garden furniture. Hot tub for 2 (private). Private parking for 1 car. No smoking.. This wonderful pod can be found in a private setting on the friendly owner’s working farm in the pretty Lancashire village of Lathom. Surrounded by open countryside they boast their own private hot tub, and make a perfect base for couples wanting a glamping break away. With views reaching as far as the Lake District, Pennines and Welsh mountains, the rural countryside location feels miles from anywhere, however the location is far from remote being just 2 miles from Ormskirk and 1 mile from the village of Westhead. A traditional pub serving food can be reached within a 5-minute walk, and ample walking and cycling in the surrounding stunning countryside is available direct from the front door.
The ancient market town of Ormskirk provides a good selection of shops, restaurants and bars to accommodate most tastes. It’s also home to a train station which offers a direct service to the bright lights and city centre of cosmopolitan Liverpool in just over half an hour. The bustling town of Burscough is also just 4 miles away and has excellent amenities including Burscough Wharf, which is a vibrant selection of arts, crafts, food and drink all under one roof.
The Victorian seaside town of Southport, with its long, sandy beach and funfair, can be reached in around half an hour, as can Crosby Beach, which together with the ‘Another Place’ sculptures by internationally acclaimed artist Antony Gormley, has a 22-mile coastal path to explore. Further afield, the city of Manchester and the Trafford Centre can be reached in under an hour drive or the Lake District National Park in just over an hour. Beach 13 miles.

We stayed 2 nights here, the hot tub was clean and ready for when we arrived.
We stayed 2 nights here, the hot tub was clean and ready for when we arrived. The bed was very comfy! And everything was clean and tidy. The pod was Warm cosy and very private. The hamper was a cute addition! They provide a book of local things to do and places to eat which was helpful. They are things to do near by like lockdown escape rooms, Liverpool and Southport. Plenty of Ubers around too! We had a lovely few nights away x

We have just come back from an absolutely perfect 2 night stay in Laurel Pod. The farm is beautiful, the hot tub and pod are private and secluded. Self check in is flawless with easy to follow Instructions. The pod is well equipped with everything you could need including a stand for a small disposable barbecue. Excellent place very close to Ormskirk. We will be staying again.

We had a lovely 2 night stay at The Laurel Glamping Pod, lovely accommodation that was spotless.
We had a lovely 2 night stay at The Laurel Glamping Pod, lovely accommodation that was spotless. To improve our stay I would ask that the hot tub be warmed up for our arrival, I did actually ask for this but unfortunately the hot tub was cold and took till the following day to get to a temperature that was comfy enough to sit in for any length of time (it was a chilly weekend) I would also ask that a can opener, a bottle opener and a cork screw be provided (no good when you have a wine bottle and nothing to open it with) On the details of The Laurel Pod it states "microwave, oven, grill" I brought food that needed to be cooked in an oven or grill, sadly there was no oven or grill !! this was a struggle as I didn`t realise this till after we had several drinks, that meant we couldn`t drive to get any more food. To make everyone aware the closest pub on the details is a 15 minute walk, yes this is true, however there are no pavements on the roads and these roads are very fast. There isn`t much around at all and if you are like us and like to walk plenty it wasn`t ideal (maybe I should of done a little more research) All in all we had a lovely weekend, the owners have clearly spent a lot of time and money creating a very private holiday let.
