"Thank you for a wonderful stay in your beautiful wee beachside cottage. Couldn't ask for more, with birdsong, native life (including some large spiders!), waves crashing to shore, the odd passing coal train, friendly sheep and goat "neighbours"! It was a lovely, peaceful autumn getaway. We thoroughly enjoyed walking the beach in the mornings and got to see the natural beauty of the area. Everything was clean and well thought out. The only thing I noticed was the queen mattress in the main bedroom was quite soft and had a roll together feel, which was a little uncomfortable. We had two teenagers with us who slept in the sleepout and enjoyed their stay in "nature". Thank you again for a memorable experience."

"What a privilege to spend time in such an unspoilt natural environment yet have complete comfort. Great if like us you love wild NZ but are not campers. The house is warm (good heating) and full of character. Private except for cheeky weka in the garden, sounds of the sea and birds. Magic."

"This property was absolutely stunning - a recent build - Joanne and Steve have created a paradise in Karamea at the end of the road (literally). I just wished we had stayed longer here and had more time to enjoy the house which had been thoughtfully planned and decorated throughout and was really just amazing. It was a great end to our trip up the West Coast of the South Island and one day I plan to bring my wife back here!"
