"This inn is beautifully renovated, comfortable and quiet. My wife and I really enjoyed our stay. Our room was upstairs and there is no elevator, but there are other options across 3? buildings of this former farmhouse. The room itself was about the size you'd expect in a 125 year old home, but the bathroom was quite nice. We thoroughly enjoyed the a la carte breakfast included in our rate. This was the best of 3 older inns we stayed in this trip. If you love the charm of a heritage type inn, you'll be thrilled here. If you prefer fresh and new, they've done a stellar renovation from fixtures and carpet, to the windows. I wouldn't hesitate to return. The staff were friendly and service at the desk and restaraun was excellent. The location is on main street's quieter section south of the university and away from pubs and bars, yet still walkable. We were on a road trip and there was ample parking."

"Comfiest bed of our stay so far! Great location close to the main street in town. Loved the complimentary snacks, including chips and ice cream sandwiches, as well as the light continental breakfast. A very beautiful property, inside and out. No TV in the room but for a one night stay it's really not an issue."

"We love this hotel ! It was exceptional! The food was good and the place was kept so clean and lovely. Everything was so convenient! The pool was great and there was a washroom, a change room and a warm shower right near the pool! (Can’t say the same for the Alt airport hotel’s pool area!"

"The accommodation was so lovely it's hard to explain. Sunny, or misty, or even a bit of rain did not diminish our enjoyment. Well-appointed, it had everything we needed. It is such a beautiful location, central to the day trips we took to Lunenburg, Mahone Bay, and Chester after visiting Halifax. Watching the tide come in every day, hearing the birdsong and the waves lapping against the rocks, was heavenly. Whether you come to see the area or just settle in for a quiet respite, this would be an excellent choice."
