I’ve never stayed in a hotel, where the staff make no attempt to greet the guests.
We checked in late using the machine outside so the reception was closed, which I have no problem with. What I didn’t like is when I did finally see the receptionist and smiled, I was greeted with a blank stare. Not once, did the staff even try to acknowledge us which we found, very disappointing. Only person I care into contact with was the cleaner and that’s it!
I think more basic amenities would be nice like a fridge and and air conditioning that doesn’t blow out hot air on the cold setting.
I hope that this feedback gets taken onboard.
