Our large room was gorgeous with a beautiful view of the water from the balcony! Food was amazing…fish n chips, maple planked salmon and the chowder were the best! Large breakfast buffet with made to order omelettes and homemade pastries as well as delicious salmon fish cakes!! Very friendly and accommodating staff! I would definitely recommend this beautiful place!

This is a great place to wind down. It's quiet, off the grid. The rooms are comfortable and clean. I loved the view from my balcony. This is a large river side property. They have canoes, kyaks, and bicycles for there guests. My husband and I had a relaxing stay.

I stayed in a nice cabin, a bit old-fashioned and rustic. The electricity would go off if I used the microwave and electric fireplace at the same time, and the overall wiring does not seem like it would meet safety codes today. But, it's a cabin in the woods, and a pretty nice, private one at that. The cowhide rug in the living room was definitely a tripping hazard. It's very convenient to have a restaurant on site, too, and the location is beautiful.

We had a great stay in one of their chalets. The space was clean but tired. We had some issues with wifi (seems to have been a random site-wide issue) but staff did their best to get a quick resolution. The property at large is nice, but like the chalet, showing some of its age. The food at the main dining space was fantastic, reservations are required but simple to book, and staff were beyond pleasant! For the price it was a great retreat, spectacular morning and evening views, lots of wildlife and nearby trails, and very helpful staff. We would certainly stay again.

The place is a very good vacation spot but it lacks internet and no cell phone connection at all. The wifi is so bad almost no connect at all most of the time. Atleast breakfast should be included in the price. To go to local grocery it is 20 to 30 minutes passing through the forest. The good thing is it has mini fridge and microwave. It should have some kitchen counter table to do some cooking in this isolated place. Anyways the place is very good having a lot of free things to do. I recommend this place to visit.

Desperate for an update. Staff is very friendly. Pool is outdated but they keep the pool very warm. Kids loved the warm pool water. Room are okay but need updating. Bathroom is very small. They show pictures of updated rooms but even though very few guests we got an older room. View from room is beautiful overlooking river. Dinner was very good at the restaurant. The whole property just needs updating, declutter rooms, hallways and common areas.

We like the beautiful surroundings, the historic Cottage and River Lodge . We like that there were amenities like a swimming pool and a hot tub, shuffleboard and other outdoor activities. We were pleased that it had Wi-Fi in all the cottages and had moved away from wood-burning fireplaces too electric. We did notice, however, there was a lot of opportunity for cosmetic upgrades in the Cottage that we stayed in. The most significant piece was that the screen door on Cottage number four was in fact, not there other than that we were very comfortable and had a wonderful one night stay
