"We just got back from a 4 day stay at this gorgeous house and the only thing wrong was that it wasn’t long enough!! The pictures don’t do it justice. The house is spotless with a well appointed kitchen and lots of space on the three levels to relax. The beds are comfortable as is the rest of the furniture. And the views are incredible. The housekeeper and host are amazing. Very easy to get in touch with and extremely helpful. We look forward to returning to Casa Do Mar soon! Thank you!!"

"The hosts were absolutely incredible from the moment we booked till the moment we left - they went above and beyond! Nothing was too much trouble and they made us feel so at home and comfortable. The house was fantastic and so easy to get everywhere by bus or walking. Beach and playgrounds! The kids loved playing in the pool and the sandpit and the little houses. We had such a lovely stay - thanks so much both! Would definitely recommend!"

"Stayed at this property while in town for a work conference. The Congress Center is a close walk, which was perfect for us. You will need Uber, bus or trolley to get into Lisbon for a lot of sight seeing. The flat is laid out in genuine Portuguese style as our hosts explained. There was a lot of space. The garden is lovely. The hosts are delightful and full of great recommendations."

"Booked this villa for a big family holiday to celebrate a 40th birthday. Paulo made the booking process so easy with same day replies to all our questions leading up to the holiday, handy tips and being so accommodating to our requests even during our stay. The villa had something for everyone. With the heated pool, jacuzzi, games room and lovely local beaches - we had the best time! About 30/40 mins from Lisbon - super easy to book Ubers. We're so glad we treated ourselves to the private...

"The villa was located in an upscale neighborhood close to several restaurants and stores. The only disappointing aspect was that only two of the five bedrooms had air conditioners and it was very warm during our July stay—room fans would have been helpful. The host Alice was nice and friendly. We were a group of 11 and the pool and ping pong table was enjoyable for the children."

"The manager, Vera, is superb. She was able to set up boat rides, Fado evening, restaurants, and a fabulous wine tasting, and was always helpful and wonderful. The pool is super, the house could use window screens and fans in every room, and the owner should make sure all closets are empty. The wine from the estate is fantastic."

"Sofia’s home is absolutely perfect for a family vacation. The views are incredible and the heated pool was an absolute bonus. It’s a short walk to the beach, to town and to a number of different restaurants in varying price ranges. The house was clean and the house manager was fantastic and a great resource. "We stayed at the villa for 4 days on August 2023 after a very hot 4 days in Lisbon. The cooler temperatures at the coast were welcome. The villa was very comfortable and large, and the pool was great. There is not much else in Assenta, but there is a small supermarket in Charneca, which is only a few km away, and much larger supermarkets in Silveria and Ericeria. Ericeria is very nice, with lots of restaurants around the square and a good vibe. There is also market, but we did not manage to...

"Really nice home but there is only a portable A/C unit. There is no outside vent on the portable unit so it was useless. The house holds heat with little cross ventilation if bedroom doors are closed. We had to open the sliding doors. No screens so I got a lot of mosquito bites. We loved the location and very private."
