Wanting to charge me more money at check in

I was being asked to pay an additional €45 for the extra person that I had already paid for. They were very rude, and when I showed them my reservation details, confirming that I had already paid for the extra person, they asked me to fill out a form and it was not a very pleasant experience.

I needed to charge my phone but didn’t have the European attachment. The young man at the reception charger it for me on his own laptop. One of those that go the extra mile to help. I will stay there again.

The hotel is ok. We have chosen Masa hotel cos of the price versus location. Breakfast was included ( not the greatest, eggs felt syntetic and only one day there were fresh vegetables ,but well , coffee was ok, some frutes and some bakery made it - fair enough) Metro is literally 1 min away. Plenty of shops and places to eat around. Around 25-30min walk to the town centre. Room was just ok. A bit loudy neighbors but thats not hotels issue. Staff friendly and helpful. After check out we were able to leave our luggage for few hours on reception before heading to airport.

Overall the stay was OK. I would consider staying here again possibly in the future, but the condition of the room was a little disappointing but I guess for what I paid and how close it is to most things (within 20 minutes of many things via walking) it was fine. My biggest complaint is the condition of the room. Room looks a little outdated and perhaps some wear-and-tear (marks on the walls, cracks near the desk area, etc). I had a minor issue with some ants near the desk but think I got that cleaned up with some cleaning stuff but still not idea for a 3-star hotel. (For reference, a Holiday Inn in the USA is a 2-star hotel, and I would honestly put this a step below that based on condition). But I also understand that many buldings in Lisbon are older even though the interiors may have been updated, but the ant issue was the biggest turn off I guess. I only saw them the first two nights until I cleaned the desk area and then never saw them again that I remember but I also avoided using the desk after those first two nights. Otherwise, no other issues in the room. The elevator can be slow so I found taking the stairs to be faster (seeing I was only on Level 2, which is actually the third floor; Lobby is on Floor 0). The plus side is that this hotel is only about a block from the metro station and there are food options around with some convenience stores too, so it is convenient, and quieter than other places I stayed in while in Lisbon.

the hotel is located in a good location. however the general hospitality skills of the reception and staff could be better with zero smile or glad attitude. also the shower and sink drain was clogged and draining very slow. I do not recommend the hotel or the Parking as it is the tiniest I have seen in Europe and cars hardly fits and also the daly charge of 18 Euro/ night is not reasonable

It takes a lot to write a negative review but after the experience we had we felt it necessary. When checking in, staff was not friendly and were told no parking was available, after we booked this hotel purposefully for parking. Once in our room, we were met with a musty smell and a dirty room. There were numerous stains on the walls and the lamp shades, what looked to be mold in the corners of the showers and coffee spilt on the table. We checked in and out within 20 minutes and were told we would not be receiving a refund. We contacted Expedia in hopes to resolve this matter, and management has still failed to respond to Expedia. Very disappointed in the hotel and do not recommend.

Centraal gelegen hotel, vlakbij centrum, alles is mogelijk te voet. Veel eetplekken in de buurt. Hotel is proper, elke dag nieuwe handdoeken en nette kamer. Geen lawaai. Ontbijt ook de moeite.

Good value for money

Good hotel, nice rooms. Quite central location - 15 mins. walk to the city center, or rather use the metro just outside the hotel. Good breakfast.
