Perfect stay

We loved the location, breakfast, and character of this hotel. Bicycles are available for use, and in contrast to the note in the hotel description, there is no problem parking your car. Public transportation takes you to all the wonderful places around for hiking and sightseeing. A few great restaurants are close by but in general, it is a tranquil and magical place to spend a couple days at.

This was an absolutely beautiful place with a gorgeous location. The staff could not have been more helpful or friendly. It is close enough to different places to go and see that taking an uber was affordable and easy. Cannot reccomend this place enough.

Lovely Hotel

Fort converted to a hotel. Our room had an ocean view which was nice. Breakfast included was nice as well as the free water, soda and beer in the room. Very nice perks with the room. Some staff are able to smile, while others though not rude, don’t come across as happy. (Hit or miss). The nearest town is a 10 minute drive by car (Uber). They do provide chairs and umbrellas at the (Surfing beach). If you want to be near the water, but a little away from everything, then this hotel is definitely worth staying.

Close to nature, adorable view to Atlantic Ocean, friendly personnel. My room was close to reception and therefore there was some noise coming from the lobby. Due to IronMan race the roads were closed and I needed to walk with the luggage half an hour to get a taxi to the airport. I would have liked some kind of compensation for this, but it was not offered. For a room with price of over 300 euros a night that would have been expected.

Loved this hotel which lived up to it’s Relais & Châteaux membership. We were given an upgrade, looking out on to the beach. Delicious dinner on the terrace and breakfast in the restaurant. Made to feel so welcome.

Exceptional rework of historic fortress. Arched ceiling and sitting couch on enclosed balcony overlooking the sea is a totally unique feature. If you want elegance and quiet solitude this is the place!

This has got to be one of the best hotels we’ve stayed at. The views are incredible, the breakfast buffet is amazing and most of all the staff are one of the nicest people you’ll meet. The customer service at this place is top notch! It’s very clean and the main areas that you can sit and have a drink or visit is beautiful! This place isn’t walking distance from the town but it’s a quick taxi ride. I highly recommend this place.
