Good, not great

Good location, but there's room for improvement. First, the young lady who checked us in wanted to get out of the apartment as fast as possible, which was a bit concerning. Not the best first impression. There were constant water leaks from either the bathroom sink or toilet, but the bathroom floor had puddles consistently. We had to try and mop up the leaks with our towels. The heaters would stay on for a period of time and then shut off. Normally not an issue, except it was consistently cold in the apartment. We had to leave our bedroom doors shut, and stay in the bedroom, or walk around with jackets on. Due to the cold, everything was sort of damp. Nothing could air dry (towels) because it was too cold and damp. We constantly had the heaters on (when in the apartment) running at their warmest setting. The front door to the building was very difficult to open, probably not an issue for the rental apartment, but an inconvenience anytime we had to re-enter. The flat just wasn't cozy and comfortable due to the cold and damp conditions. Lastly, the property managers were usually prompt in responding to any questions. Oddly, when I asked about the heat, I never got a response.

Highlights und Lowlights

Die Wohnung ist wirklich sehr schön und liegt in unmittelbarer Nähe zum Castelo, was auch bedeutet, dass man auf dem Weg vom Zentrum (Rossio & Co.) einen ziemlichen Aufstieg vor sich hat. Ich selbst fand den Weg durch die teils engen und romantischen Gässchen sehr schön, für Menschen mit Gehproblemen aber eventuell ein "no-go". Alternativ gibt es eine super schnelle Busverbindung (737), der Bus fährt vom Rossio in ein paar wenigen Minuten direkt bis zur Haustür. Der Check-In Prozess mit der Agentur verlief war super easy und unser Kontakt sehr freundlich und entspannt, obwohl wir mit ordentlich Verspätung aufgrund einer Flugverspätung beim Appartment ankamen. Eine sehr leckere Bäckerei mit Pasteis de Nata ist nur wenige Schritte vom Appartment entfernt, gleiches gilt für schöne Restaurants. Ein gut sortierter Supermarkt (Pingo Doce) ist auch nur wenige Minuten entfernt. Einen Kritikpunkt zum Appartment gibt es aber dann doch: Die Küche ist in Sachen Geschirr und Besteck extrem minimalistisch ausgestattet. Auch wenn wir abends nicht gekocht haben, sondern essen waren, hat es für das Frühstück genervt. Es gab für uns zwei Personen kein Geschirr, was irgendwie einigermaßen zusammengepasst hat. Und - vielleicht bin ich da ja kleinlich -
