I had a nice stay at the apartment in Alfama. You can walk from this unit to most of the interesting sites in 15 to 20 minutes. The waterfront where you can take a boat ride or watch sunset is just about a 5 minute walk. Restaurants and small markets everywhere. One very popular restaurant right out the front door. Bear in mind that many streets around Lisbon are very narrow and many steps you will take almost every place you go. Some accomodations can't be reached by taxi and they get you as close as possible and still some steps and navigation to get to your place. Google maps almost a necessity around this city until you learn it. The apartment was comfortable as a solo traveler. Two people in there would be the limit. I would recommend this place.

Stay away! This place it’s not what it’s advertised. The property is listed as two bedroom and 2 bathrooms ..IT IS A BIG LIE! The apartment has only ONE bedroom and a tiny bathroom (if you can call that a bathroom!) There’s no transparency on this rental most of the important details are hidden like it is not car friendly so taxi has to drop you off elsewhere and there’s absolutely no parking. This was never mentioned on the listing. The apartment is on a 4th floor with very steep stairs not suited for heavy luggage or older people. The owner is VERY RUDE doesn’t answer questions as to where hold luggage or to give other information about the place when asked. The place is dirty and not well maintained the hall walls are in bad condition and they ruined my luggage and clothing and there’s no A/C. There is one positive thing ‘location’ …So if you want location with a miserable stay this one is for you. Good luck!
