Pine Oaks Cabin includes Guest Pole Barn. Modern comfort meets county living.
10/10 Excellent
"We loved our stay at Pine Oaks. The rooms were clean, the kitchens (both in the cabin and the pole barn) were well stocked and had everything that we needed. The property is beautiful. Our dogs loved the pond and walking the trails that were in the property. Our kids (mix of young adults and teens) loved hanging out in the pole barn and playing all the games. There was air hockey, pool, giant connect four, battle toss, and several board games to choose from. The property is close to Greene Sullivan state Forest and Shakamak State Park. When we weren't relaxing at the cabin we were hiking. There is a town about 10 minutes away so you can easily go grab anything that you might have forgotten. The hosts responded immediately when we messaged them and were very helpful and friendly. "
"This was a terrible experience. We stayed one night.
We were told it was $170 a night, we arrived an hour early and was charged $30. Then the next morning we called the front desk to see if we could check out at 2pm instead of 11am, and we were told it was fine, but we had to pay an extra $20. Which we agreed to.
Then when we went to check out, the man at the desk was trying to charge us for 2 entire days. We then we're charged an extra $50 the next day with no reason or explanation.
No ice machine. Dirty furniture and burn holes in the sheets. Only one vending machine and it was sold out of everything. No breakfast. After staying one night, we collectively paid $270. The employees sleep in cots by the front desk which was off-putting, and I didn't encounter a single pleasant employee.
I wouldn't recommend this experience to anyone.

"When I booked the hotel it says that it has a pool and hot tub. I chose this location for my kids to have fun and swim. When we arrived there was no hot tub and a quarter of the pools ceiling was falling down. It was open but not at all safe to let the kids swim. The kids and I were very disappointed."
"Beautiful Cabin. It was very clean and well maintained and had everything we needed for a nice weekend get away. The host were very nice and helpful. The property was very pretty and peaceful. We hiked around the lake a few times and enjoyed the scenery. We saw a beaver in the lake, some deer and two Bald Eagles while we were there. Definitely recommend this location to others. We will be back!"
