"Staff is super helpful and courteous! The room service folks even stopped water damage to my wash bag and left a handwritten note about the move. Live up to the luxury hotel standards. Breakfast has lots of delicious choices and totally made our days! Room is less fancy but solid and clean. Would be even more awesome if there is hot spring. But other than that, there’s nothing else we’d ask for"

"This is my third time staying at this hotel. Shuguang Hotel is situated next to Xuanwu Lake, offering views of Nanjing's towering skyline through the windows; the night view is quite beautiful. The hotel boasts an excellent location, just a short walk from the subway station and Nanjing Railway Station. Although the architectural style feels a bit dated, the guest rooms are spacious, bright, and comfortable, featuring clean, fresh bedding. Soundproofing is excellent, ensuring a quiet environment, though the sound of street traffic can occasionally be heard in the early morning. The buffet breakfast is delicious, offering a wide variety of dishes with a menu that changes daily. I particularly appreciate the complimentary self-service laundry facilities, which are clean and well-equipped. The lobby reception staff are well-trained, and the housekeeping team is professional and courteous; the breakfast staff and chefs are also enthusiastic, proactive, and friendly."
