Family weekend

Wonderful Inside and Out

We had a group of 16 co workers and we all had a comfortable space without feeling like we were on top of each other. Lisa was easy to contact and quick to reply. There were even 2-3 "extra" fun things that helped make staying at the house a fun experience. We didn't have any kids, but it would be so fun for families!!

Christmas celebration

We had a wonderful time on our trip. The house and outdoor area is perfectly designed for large families, especially those with young kids. The hosts were quick to respond and assist with any of our needs. We would definitely recommend and would love to return in the future.

Jameson Family Christmas

Our group of 18 loved everything about our stay. With ages ranging from 2 to 78, it's hard to find any location that has interests for all, but this one did. There was room for each group to take part in the activity of their choice without being on top of others and their interests. The kids especially loved the stay - they were busy from the time they opened their eyes until they closed them at night. They're already asking to do it again next Christmas!! Highly recommend to groups of all sizes/ages.

Perfect Stay

You couldn’t find a better place for kids! From the pool to the playground and the house with a movie room, dress up closet, toy closet, craft cupboard and kids books we couldn’t ask for more. The kids were entertained our whole 4 day stay. Jim was very responsive to any need and quick to fix any issues. We made some wonderful family memories here and hope to be back!

Great Vacation

Our family absolutely loved our experience at this house! The owners have gone well out of their way to have things to do while staying. Our 13 year old niece LOVED the scavenger hunt!!!!Our 4 year old niece LOVED the toys and things for her to play/play on. And was totally into the dress-up closet!We all LOVED the amount of room we had. And we’re thankful there was a Christmas tree up for Christmas Really, the only way to improve would be maybe make sure all the light bulbs are working and make sure all the pots and pans are induction stove compatible.We've discussed coming back here in the summer!

We had 21 people, ages 1-72. Everyone had plenty of room. The kitchen is awesome. Two washers/dryers were very helpful with the little ones. It’s a beautiful setting and we enjoyed everything so much!

Family Union

The house was plenty large enough for our family group and had great communal space for gathering, meals, games. The setting was lovely- water views, playground for kids and pool. The outside spaces needed clean up- we had to clean all outside furniture before using and some of the cushions were not usable. Though we did not opt to have the pool heated we were not expecting it to be dirty and unusable at all. Perhaps the seasonal clean up has not been done? I would also suggest toilets be replaced with handicap height- these were extremely short and small. Enjoyed our stay- had great fun with our family and that is what we came for!

Wonderful getaway

The house was more than large enough for the 16 of us. The pool was wonderful and we used it everyday. The kitchen was big enough for some us to cook and others to sit and talk while we were cooking. The kids and teens loved the movie room. We played lots of games at the large dining room table.

Beautiful property with lots to do

This house is both gorgeous and comfortable. Kitchen is great for cooking and there are plenty of areas to relax. Pool and pool house are very nice. Everything from lights to ceiling fans and tvs are all controlled with multiple remotes, so be prepared to spend some time figuring everything out and not all of it has good instructions. Check the temps of the pool or swim spa upon arrival and adjust them so they have time to warm up.

Everything you need

This home is awesome! We had 15 adult ladies staying in the home and we had everything we needed and extras. There was enough space for everyone. There were board games, arcade games and a cute scavenger hunt game waiting for us. You will not be disappointed. We would totally book this place again.

Hands down the best time we have ever had as a family!

Great house and wonderful memories! The kids had so much to do at this house. The kids had so much fun on the playground, discovering the hidden rooms and swimming in the pool and swim spa. The adults kept fighting over the massage chair! We had a wonderful time and it was very relaxing. We very much appreciated the well-stocked kitchen, the coffee bar and the nice touch with the waffles bar for breakfast. We had a wonderful time and plan on returning again in the future!

A great home for family gatherings

We had a multi-generational get together at this home. Kids and adults had a great time. The check in was at 4pm. We got there at 5:30 and cleaning crew was still on premises which was a bit disconcerting seeing multiple cars parked in the driveway, but they were finished and very helpful. Communication with owner was easy and responsive. We had a great stay and highly recommend this house if you want a great place to just hang out together and relax.

Labor Day Weekend Celebration

A perfect getaway location for multigenerational groups. Our group ranged from 6 to 76. From relaxing on the porch swing, swimming in the pool ( a real pool, not a cramped slash pool), to watching college football on TV. The spacious kitchen allowed more than one cook at a time. You are in a wooded, rural location - 20 minutes to Lindale and 30 to Tyler.

Great Experience

The house was clean and well stocked with toiletries, linens and kitchen utensils/needs. We had a larger group and we never had issues with running out of hot water or anything. The pool was warm and the hot tub was wonderful!!! We all agreed we would stay here again when/if I’m the area. Property owners were easy to work with and communicate. They created a scavenger for the kids and had a prize at the end. Would recommend house to anyone looking for a unique and accommodating house!!

Big house, nice pool, some repairs needed.

Large house, easily fit our group of 18... fun pool, good size. Just switched ownership and needs some repairs and upkeep. The grounds are over grown and messy. House has broken cabinets, and furniture. The owners were great to work with though and I trust they will get things fixed for future renters.

New Year's Family Reunion

You can't ask for a better family oriented property from the movie room, to the games available, to the play castle and the pool. This property has it all for all ages. But the best part is the property owners who stayed in communication with us throughout the process answering all our questions. And when an issue came up with the previous occupants that would impact our stay, Jeff immediately called us with options to manage the issue. Everything worked out fine. We highly recommend this property with it's easy access to East Texas activities , amazing hosts and fabulous family fun on property. Thanks Jeff and Lisa

Great house for a family gathering!

There are so many things to do on the property for a family of all ages. We had our 6 grandchildren there ranging from 7 years old to infant along with the adults. They had so much fun with all the toys and books and fun playground. The adults were afforded some quiet time while the kids all watched movies in the movie room (which is a great space)! The rooms were very nice and the kids loved the bunk rooms and toddler room. It was very helpful that there were baby gates provided too. The kitchen is spacious and worked well for our family meals and the tables accommodated all of us. It was a nice get away. Communication was very quick and easy with Lisa and Jeff. If you’re headed to that area, we highly recommend staying at Jerob’s Place.

Hideout Place

We made the most of our time there and mostly enjoyed hanging out in the hot tub. I wish we had known beforehand that we didn't have access to the lake or that we couldn’t go fishing or kayaking. The additional cost to heat the pool was unknown. It was a bummer that the lights around the pool did not work during our stay. Also, watch out for the sprinkler that runs along the sidewalk makes it very slippery in some areas, our daughter actually slipped so be careful. The swamp access area was another area of concern which anyone can fall in and it also seemed sketchy. The house looked outdated and the lawn was not well maintained, so be careful of critters. The creepiest room was the kids hideout place behind a bookshelf, the whole group thought it was creepy and even the little door in the bathroom. We definitely didn't like the fact that most of the doors didn't have locks, including the bathrooms. We made the best of the experience, but we were all disappointed.

Perfect place for our large family!!!

We could not have been more pleased with our stay at Jerob's Place! We have a very large family (10 adults and 14 grands ranging in ages from 1-12!) and have looked for quite a while for a place that would meet our needs. This place had it all! From the pool, to the hot tub, to the playground, to the bedrooms, kitchen facilities, movie room.....I could continue, but you can see all of that in the description. I think we took advantage of every experience this home provided. The pool was refreshingly cold, but the unusually warm October weather allowed several of us to take the plunge. The hot tub was a HUGE hit with the grands. We had a few kayak and the playground kept the kids busy throughout the day. The adults especially enjoyed the fire pit and the hot tub at night. Our goal is to create lasting memories and strong relationship ties between our children and grandchildren. They all said that this will be a memory they never forget. Gigi was the most accommodating host I have ever worked with! She responds immediately, checks in to make sure all is well (via text), and even left us a gift card to take the kids for ice cream! I truly hope we can come back next year for our annual Cousins Camp!
