This spacious lakefront Maine cottage is idyllically located — and just 20 feet from its own private dock on Norton Pond. With about 100 feet of lake frontage and views from every room, you’ll have found a perfect spot for relaxation, fun and recreation. Unwind with a cup of coffee, cast a fishing line, or jump in the water for a refreshing dip! The sturdy new dock is ready to accommodate kayaks, power boats or canoes — so you can easily explore the pond or venture onto Megunticook Lake through the Narrows. Camp Peabody is just an 8-minute drive into downtown Camden and the Penobscot Bay waterfront. Spend the day on the lake, explore quaint towns, or hike the trails of Camden Hills State Park which is just down the road. The cottage is walking distance to the Lincolnville General Store, which offers grocery basics as well as gourmet entrees and pizza, along with local organic produce. Lincolnville Beach is a short 10-minute drive and Bar Harbor and Acadia National Park are less than 2 hours from the house for a perfect day trip up scenic Route 1.

Prepare to relax at Camp Peabody while listening to the loons and watching peaceful, picturesque sunrises over the pond. This home has all the modern amenities, including fiber-optic internet, with an open-concept floor plan. In addition to the dock, there is a welcoming patio from which to view the pond's beauty — spring, summer or fall. In the basement, you’ll have a great spot to escape if the weather turns, but you still want the family fun to continue with games inside!

For additional space, Kenney's Port of Call or Norton Pond Cottage could also be rented for visiting family, friends, or guests to sleep additional people. Both are next door or a 30 second walk.

What's nearby

  • At the top of Mt Battie in Camden, Maine is this tower, constructed in 1921 as a WWI Memorial. There used to be a hotel on this site, but it was torn down in 1920. The tower was built on the site on the former hotel, and several stones from the hotel were used in the construction of the tower. There's a rather strenuous hike to the top of the mountain, but you can also drive right to the top within Camden Hills State Park. #mabattie #camden #camdenhills #maine #sunset #tower #goldenhour
