"The house has a lot of charm and some great features, but there were several surprises we wish had been clearer in the listing.Pros-The house was easy to find and check-in was simple.-Cool old home with nice furnishings and a comfortable living-room setup.-All the beds were comfortable, and we appreciated the amount of seating available.- The kids loved the floor puzzle and playing Scrabble.Cons-The kitchen was missing some basics, like hot pads, measuring cups, skillet, and toaster would have been nice, but we were able to work around it.-Two of the four bedrooms had extremely bright exterior security lights shining directly into the windows all night, and the blinds did nothing to block the light. It felt like daytime inside the rooms.-Noise traveled easily from the downstairs half of the house; renters below had loud music and TV that carried clearly through the walls, giving it more of a motel vibe.-Not suitable for small children due to two unprotected staircases.Big Surprise / Important to Know-When we opened the front door, we were immediately met with 20 steep steps leading straight up to the second floor. We were traveling with an older family member and we wouldn’t have booked the property had we known.The house definitely has potential and some very nice qualities, but a few adjustments and clearer listing details would greatly improve future stays."

"I use to always stay here when I visited home.Now it’s own by a different group and they just focus on money.I respectfully asked for a refund after realizing my sheets was dirty .House keeping deny and the owners are rude walked away.Money wasn’t the issue customer service is.I’m calling my bank to dispute the charge this week don’t stay .I should’ve stayed at Hilton as normal"

"Receptionist was great at our check in. Overall, I don't recommend staying here. We don't often stay at Hampton Inns but this one has seen better days. I'm guessing because of so much college related traffic. The bed did not sleep well and had bed rails sticking out from under the mattress 6" that would cut someone's legs if not paying attention. We stacked the extra pillows to avoid the rails. Also, reserved a King Non-smoking and we received a double bed. Not the end of the world but not what we reserved and just too tired of traveling to discuss. We just expected better for the money."

"The room was neat but the walls and ceiling were dirty , the smell was musty I had the room booked for 2 nights but I couldn’t stay the 2nd night. I couldn’t sleep the first night because all I did was itch from whatever was either in the bed or may have been what the washed the sheets in !!! When I returned the 2nd afternoon they didn’t clean the room or even make the bed. Housekeeping if they even have it is really bad !!! When I stayed at the days Inn they at least vacuumed and made the bed every day !! I would not recommend this place. "
