Great pitstop in Limoges
Breakfast in the room was great. Air conditioning most welcome. Again couldn’t get parked because our car has a top box. Managed a space outside the hotel. Felt the Hotel was secure and ideal for a city stop. Location great. Would have gone to the busy street for dinner had we known. (See pic) Nice bathroom/room.

It was in an excellent central location with easy access to the key sites. The only real negative wasthe very popular coffee bar at the enrance to the hotel which was over priced with very poor service and full of smokers day and night. The buffet breakfast was very poor value if you were vegetarian or vegant there is an excellent pita pit to eat at at the rear of the proprty that has excellent fresh vegetarian and vegan options. The hotel room was small but adequate although the design of the bathroom was poor with a glass door meaning that use at night meant the light would disturb anyone else sleeping .

The little things needed more attention
Very clean, and processes related to COVID appeared safe. However, building is tired, and considering so few people were staying the little things could have been attended to with more detail - room service breakfast not arriving until prompted on each day of stay, charge to upgrade to balcony room even though full amount paid with very restricted service.

Great room, but shower doesn’t keep water inside shower area. We had water all over the bathroom floor. Comfortable shower though. The cart with 3 wheels led the luggage to fall off, but fit inside the elevator. The more practical carts with 4 wheels hardly fit in the elevator! Rooms are great. They also should warn that the elevator always stop at the reception level.

The hotel was good, however there was big works just in front of the hotel, down the room windows. They started to work using big machines at 7.30am :-/ hopefully I didn’t planned to sleep all morning long.

The hotel is at the place de la République, that is under construction, very hard to get to. The public parking that is next to the hotel is in terrible conditions. It was very hard to get an opened restaurant because it was Sunday. The hotel needs renovation because it looks very old. The staff was friendly.

Great for exploring central Limoges
First impression, easy public parking (€12 for 24 hours - August 2018) and very friendly reception team with good English. We had one of the Superior rooms with a balcony looking over the square. Good size, clean and comfy. Good buffet breakfast choices include scrambled egg, pigs in blankets and naked bangers. Plus all the usual cereals, fruit, continental meats, cheeses and pastries. Limited room service for evening meals but plenty of cafes and restaurants in easy Ealing distance.

Great welcome and sswiftest check in ever. very large spotless room on 5th floor with full set of ameneties. Large shower room with high tech shower and wc in separate room. Good selection at breakfast. Close to the main sights (not that there are many in Limoges) Would certainly stay at the Mercure again.

Excellent choice
We stayed in a lovely deluxe room with a balcony that was deep enough to be usable. Staff was responsive and speedy. A charming hotel in a charming city.
