"Doc’s Lakeside Cabin was the perfect place to get away, relax, and unwind! The kitchen had everything we needed, the bed was super comfortable, but the screened in porch was by far our favorite amenity. We watched the fish jump in the pond and a thunderstorm roll in as well as beautiful sunsets. It was too warm for us to want to use the hot tub so I can’t speak for that. We caught a few fish and had easy access to groceries, wineries, and so much more! We’ve stayed in lots of vacation rental properties and this one tops the list for cleanliness, amenities, and location not to mention price! Thank you Tanya for checking in and making sure our stay was top notch!"

"This cabin is great for a weekend getaway. It's very secluded but it worth the price. We got to enjoy the sounds of nature and see things we don't hear or see just an hour north of the area. The host was great and very accominated with things. We will be back if we have to stay down in the area again."

"The property itself was perfect for our little family as it was close to all of the nature areas we wanted to see on the trip while providing a pond that my husband and I could fish from while the kids slept in. The hosts were always there when needed and were very welcoming. Other places we have stayed made us beg for our beds but this place provided us a very good nights sleep as the beds felt just like the ones at home. Thank you for a lovely stay."

"Wonderful escape for our family of 6 adults! Plenty of room for all of us, especially the large kitchen and table that provided a nice space for preparing and enjoying meals together and game nights. After exploring trails in Giant City and visiting a few area wineries, we loved coming back to the farm to relax on the lake at the very nice beach area. The provided lounge chairs and kayaks were great. The grounds and views are beautiful, with cows and mini horses so tame and fun to hang out with. Firepit area well maintained with plenty of seating. Very secluded, yet close drives to anything needed. There’s even an alpaca farm 15 minutes away (Rolling Oaks - check it out)! Responsive and reasonable host. Hope to return!"

"The cabin was just as represented on Vrbo. It was located in a beautiful remote wooded setting that was quiet & peaceful. We enjoyed the private hot tub & the fire pit. The home was perfectly clean & ready for us when we arrived. I would highly recommend this if you want a getaway that is secluded & serene. We had deer, raccoons & several calves who escaped the nearby pasture visit us. Nature is at your doorstep!Suggestions to future guests: Come prepared for your stay as the nearest shopping area for groceries & gas is a bit of a drive. Bring extra supplies that your family might need beyond what is provided by the owner; like extra trash bags, tissues & toilet paper. Bring charcoal & lighter fluid if you plan to grill out. You can't make a quick trip to the store from this location. Also, plan carefully for restaurants if you visit during the week, as many have limited hours."
