"The grounds were beautiful with the river behind it, nice large maple trees and perennials that were still flowering even this late in the season. The manager was very helpful in giving us ideas on things to see while we were in the area. Lounge and muffins/coffee were a nice perk."

"We were a group of 5 sisters on the NE IA Art Tour. Enjoyed our stay at the Barn House Lodge, it was perfect for us. Comfortable, nicely renovated, comfy beds, stocked kitchen, beautiful deck and backyard, special touches like farm fresh eggs, cute decor. We didn't want to leave the place, and we will definitely be back again. "

The home offers plenty of entertainment options for kids, including a ping pong table and a cozy theater room that kept everyone happy and engaged. One of the standout experiences was the buggy ride—such a fun and memorable adventure!While the home was generally comfortable, we did notice that some areas, like the window sills, could use a bit more attention when it comes to cleaning. We also hiked to the pond, but found it wasn’t quite worth the trek this time of year. The water was green and surrounded by tall grass, making it less inviting than expected.Despite those minor issues, we truly enjoyed our stay and would definitely come back again. It’s a great spot for families looking to relax and have fun together!"
