The villa had aircon and roll down blinds which were brilliant in the 35-36c heat of August. "Maison Artus was a beautiful holiday villa a few minutes drive from magical Uzes. Our host and owner, Stephanie, could not have been more helpful and friendly from the time of booking and was immediately responsive to our questions. The villa was comprehensively equipped and very stylish. It technically sleeps 8 but we were 5 adults which felt perfect for the size of house. A very lovely place to holiday in a truly special region of France."

Its location is quite remote (the property is in the village of Malataverne), very close to Lussan; and situated on the side of a hill - access is down a narrow bumpy lane (which will be a challenge for cars with low clearance). And there are quite a few steps to the property itself - i would say the property is not ideal for young children (under ~8 years) or people over ~65 years. "We enjoyed our stay very much. The Maison was well equipped, clean and Rachel was very helpful and available to us. The only reason we didn’t give her all fives was it was listed for 4 adults. The house was too small for 4 but Rachel offered the other two companions other accommodations. We highly recommend the Maison for 2-3 adults max."
