Lovely cottage.
Lovely cottage. Had to take care with dogs as front door opens straight on to busy road. Nowhere to let them out as back yard tiny. Obv nothing can be done about these things and cottage itself beautiful.

We had a lovely five night break at Slater's Cottage with our dog.
We had a lovely five night break at Slater's Cottage with our dog. We have stayed in Middleham several times before but this was our first time in this cottage.
Well appointed with everything we needed, Slater's Cottage is nicely decorated and has a comfortable feel about it. The fire is lovely on a cold evening & the location is also good for exploring The Yorkshire Dales. We enjoyed watching the horses going to and from the gallops each morning right outside the living room window.
Middleham is lovely and we happily sat by the fires in the nearby Richard III pub and also ate there.
The only issue we had was that as the weather was extremely cold - when we arrived the cottage it was also very cold - only 9 degrees according to the thermostat. We lit the fire and put the heating on, but as the cottage had been empty before our arrival it took until the next day to warm up properly. Maybe next time somebody could put the heating on in advance?
We would happily stay here again, and hope to book a return visit soon.

Lovely cottage with all possible amenities you could expect.
Lovely cottage with all possible amenities you could expect. As week was cold it could have only been improved if there was a little more control on the heating system which did not come on in the mornings

Had a fantastic break in Slaters Cottage .
Had a fantastic break in Slaters Cottage . Love the dales and have been going to Middlam for a few years plenty of lovely walks and friendly pubs most if which are dog friendly.
Slaters cottage is one of the nicest cottages we have stayed . Credit to the owners and cleaners.
Excellent area to be based for visiting all the surrounding villages and attractions.
The property was in a very central location in Middleham, close to all amenities and sites of interest. The property could not be faulted for cleanliness, with all the little extras being appreciated.Only comment to make tv could have had a DVD player. Would definitely book again for any future visits to the Dales.

Very warm clean and welcoming cottage.
Very warm clean and welcoming cottage. We stayed for the Christmas week with our Son and his Partner.
The only problem was the T.V. In the itinerary, it stated that it was a Smart T.V and it certainly was not.
It was the most basic old style T.V. with basic channels. We had to go out and buy a DVD player and leads so that we could watch something decent on Christmas day.
However, we had a wonderful time and would certainly book again.
