Water Trough HIll is located 3 Miles from Lexington, 4 miles from Buena Vista and 5 miles to the Virginia Horse Center. Guest favorite for a large open spacious house with amazing views and photography of wildlife. There is a extra Guest fee after 2 Guests of $35 per night. My family came for a visit so my son could check out VMI. The host was amazing and so responsive. The property was nice distance from VMI and provided the perfect retreat. We loved all the wildlife that we saw during our stay.

Wonderful and close to everything

We were stopping through on our way to the Great Smoky Mountains and had a lovely time here. It was exactly what we were looking for. The house has ample space and is nice and quiet. Make sure to do the Lexington Carriage Company historic tour, very informative!

This house was large and extremely well kept and fully stocked with anything and everything. Stephanie is a very attentive and personable host. Our stay here was very enjoyable and we hope to do it again in the near future. The 360 Mountain views are the best.

GREAT Location and Amenities

We really enjoyed our stay at this home - it was SPOTLESS, very well appointed with many "extras" provided by the owner. Great common spaces, including a porch and outdoor patio. While we were only two, this is a great place for a group. The mountain views are really lovely. We would definitely stay here again. Only minutes from Lexington.

Very comfortable house, in a beautiful location. The house is exactly as shown in the photos. The bedrooms are very large, with comfortable beds. There were 8 adults in our group, 4 couples and there was plenty of space for all of us.

The owners are awesome and made us feel like family.

Host is wonderful, considerate, very helpful & friendly. Provided fresh fruits, cake, milk, coffee, etc. for breakfast. Loved meeting her horses too. Home is spacious, well supplied with linens & toiletries. Location works well, is near Lexington, Buena Vista & major roads. Highly recommend.

Perfect Vacation Place

Stephanie was welcoming, helpful, and supplied us with everything we could possibly need. The house is spacious and beautifully furnished. The view from just about every room is spectacular. There is a lovely walking trail along the Maury River only minutes from the house and Lexington is a ten-minute drive with it's cute shops and great restaurants. It's just perfect for a vacation or a gathering of friends and family.
