About this property
3 Sisters - Historic 1840 Pre-Civil War Log Cabin with sauna, hot tub & firepit!
Three Sisters Log Cabin is an elegant, private, 1840's log cabin that happens to be one of only a few surviving two story log cabins along Virginia's scenic and world-renowned Blue Ridge Parkway. The only Virginia property featured in, "The Top 100 Most Beautiful Rustic Vacation Properties in North America," Three Sisters Log Cabin is truly an unusual find and one that the discriminating guest will find themselves keeping secret - and sharing only with a few close friends.
Surrounded by towering rhododendrons, thickets of mountain laurel and a forest carpet of wild ginger, trillium and wintergreen, the cabin is secluded - some would say remote - and perfectly peaceful. the cabin's split rail fence separates the mountain hollow from the wilderness beyond, where just down the winding road you can find Crabtree Falls, Spy Rock, Wintergreen Resort and the mysterious Appalachian Trail. Three Sisters is within about 30 minutes driving of 4 different waterfalls!
Three Sisters has been meticulously restored. The wood-burning stove is the focal point of the cabin's original log great room. The picture windows of the post and beam kitchen and bath seem to let the outdoors inside. The original log bedroom boasts a QUEEN-size bed and two TWIN beds. Sleeps 4. The hot tub is just outside the kitchen door on the fieldstone terrace and to the left of the cabin there is a sauna complete with changing room and its own fieldstone terrace.
Cleaning fee includes Three Sisters Log Cabin, the separate sauna cabin and the hot tub.
Note: NO pets, smoking, vaping, or illegal drugs are permitted. There will be a fee for anyone breaking the rules. Picking a 1800s log cabin stretched our comfort zone, but so happy we did as it exceeded our expectations, blending a beautiful restoration of yesteryear with no shortage of modern amenities. The hot tub and sauna were icing on the cake after great day trips in the Blue Ridge mountains. Now our #1 vrbo adventure!
This is an incredible property, with wonderful hosts. Every detail is taken care of- and you can simply relax and reconnect. Highly recommend booking a stay. Monica was a wealth of helpful information, and made our stay easy and fun. The sauna, hot tub, perfectly stocked kitchen, fluffy robes, fire pit, grill, wild life and outdoor lounge area helped my husband decompress after thru hiking the AT. Thanks so much! We cannot wait for our next stay! Best, K&Z

This was a magical experience. The sauna was great, the cabin was clean and the hut tub was spectacular. Very relaxing and beautiful.
Cannot say enough about our stay at 3 Sisters cabin! From the charm of the cabin itself to the nature that surrounds it to the hot tub and sauna…..so relaxing and calming! The perfect touches throughout that make their guests feel special and pampered. I think we found our little secret spot to come back to when we need that rest and recharge!
I have rented quite a few cabins in Virginia and this is the absolute pinnacle! Exceptional experience from start to finish, with great communication and information about the property and how to get there. The cabin is immaculate, with layers of history and modern amenities. A real GAS range for cooking, plus the cleanest hot tub I've ever used! Cannot wait to stay again!
Three sisters is the best of all worlds; authentic historical log cabin married with charm and luxury. We enjoyed a remote private location with all the rustic charm of an 1840’s log cabin, but with Keurig coffees, classic steam/ sauna ( steps from the cabin) and a hot tub where you can kick back and look at endless stars. Heavenly!
Owner is great- so helpful with any need. Recommend highly!
We went away for the weekend to celebrate my Mom's birthday, this was our first experience with a vacation rental in this form and it could not have been better! We loved the area and the uniqueness of our stay. It was very relaxing and comforting to stay here. Our host was very kind from beginning to end and even checked in to make sure we made it safely! There is so much thought that went into this cabin with preserving the history as well as adding spa like touches. There were also a lot of helpful suggestions provided by our host about what else was in the area! We are very much looking forward to coming back again!
The Three Sisters cabin is a spectacular place to get away from the noise of life and refresh. Everything was taken care of, from the amazingly stocked kitchen to the fire pit to the hot tub. The place is clean, quiet, and inviting. Our host kept in touch with us at many points along the way, including letting us know of potential storms and even a meteor shower we were fortunate to see. It's a true gem!
Cute and comfortable cabin in a beautiful location. There's a lot of trails for hiking in the area and the views are gorgeous. Kitchen is well stocked with dishes and cookware. I made a vegan dumpling stew. Sister made spaghetti and sauce one night. It's October so we watched scary movies. Didn't have any issues with the tv or streaming. We didn't use the hot tub but the sauna was excellent. And the heated toilet seat was very pleasant.
My husband and I needed to get away and this was the perfect place to do it! A beautiful historic cabin, spotlessly clean, cozy and little extras that make it a 10/10 (eye masks, cozy robes, games, coffee AND creamer, etc). Monica was so communicative and helpful. There was so much helpful info in the binders she left for guests. Travel the 40 minutes to Haywood restaurant at The Georges Inn in Lexington for a fabulous meal, don’t miss the Crabtree Falls hike, and ask Monica for info on Tyler - best massage of my life and he makes house calls! Thank you, Three Sisters! We will be back with the kiddos so they can take advantage of the huge yard and wonderful nature surrounding.
What a great place to decompress from the stress of everyday life. So cozy and quiet! Monica kept us up to date with check-in info, nearby waterfalls, and recommendations on great places to eat. Between the charm of the cabin, the fire pit, hot tub, and the sauna, we had a great 4 days!
We've stayed here twice and it's absolutely wonderful! The sauna was a nice addition. The bed is comfy, the kitchen very well stocked. It's secluded. The sisters thought of everything. Robes, slippers, makeup remover wipes, towel warmer, essential oils for the sauna. Check out Gerties and Edelwiess for dining! There's movies and games and OH MY GOSH a heated toilet seat!!! You will not regret staying here! We will be back!!
This was a very unique property in the woods. It was very quiet and peaceful. We enjoyed the hot tub and sauna immensely. We ate at Gerties, we t horseback riding, and went hiking. We loved it and will definitely be back.
