"What a beautiful place. Right on the beach a 1 minute walk from my house to the beach. The pool is great and heated. The amenities they include are awesome like fossil rakes, kayaks,life jackets and many other things. Great restaurants are near by and great shopping downtown Venice and Angelos Italian market. It’s a sit down restaurant, they also sell many Italian foods to go including a deli and desserts. I ordered the cheese ravioli they are 5 star. Everything else looked great and I will go there again soon."

"Adventure awaits! What a top-notch, beach landing showcasing stellar sunsets, picturesque coastlines, and an abundance of Gulf Coast treasures just a stone’s throw from the back door. We came to plunder the sands for sharks teeth, and with much success, left with 834 in our treasure box. Sifters and flashlights are a must for the fun!The owners were wonderfully accommodating to our large group travel needs, and we found that any of the extras we wanted for our trip were accessible with a quick trip to the stores nearby. The kids and adults alike enjoyed all the conveniences and beauty of this property. It was clean, comfortable, and cozy! The only thing that could have made our trip better would have been a longer stay! We’ll be dreaming of a return adventure until next time."

"My hope with this review is to provide an honest, fact-focused summary of our stay. Unfortunately, I found the listing to significantly misrepresent the property which resulted in my family losing out on what we wanted most: a week staying in a beach-front house.My wife and I searched VRBO specifically looking for a house that is on the beach. We used the "beach front" property filter that specifically says "nothing between you and the sand." This was the single-most important aspect for our stay and we used it to narrow down the options on Manasota Key. To put it plainly: we would have never rented this property at over 500 a night if we knew its true location.After an 8.5 hour drive to the property, we were extremely angry to find out that this house is not "on the beach" at all. The house is across the street from the beach and directly across from the the host's house which is beach front. In fact, I used Google Earth to measure the distance and it's 465 ft from the front door to the beach across the street. We felt trapped at this point because we couldn't cancel. I spoke to Evan, the host, and explained how the listing details grossly misrepresent this house's location and that it's definitely not "on the beach." He said he would update the listing, which he did. However, it still shows as "on the beach" with the first 5 photos showing a beach view. The house we rented was nice and screened-in porch was great to have; however, it was not on the beach as listed. "

"We stayed here with our 4 kids and had the BEST time!!! The house is beautiful and being right on the beach was just absolutely wonderful. We will definitely stay here again if we’re ever in the area! Really couldn’t complain about anything with the home, getting out of the driveway is kinda hard because you can’t see very well getting out but other than that it was very clean and it felt like home away from home!"

"Not a lot of curb appeal, but a great place to stay if you’re looking for just the basics and a place to sleep after being out all day. Beds were comfortable, bathrooms and kitchen have been recently updated. Plenty of towels. Host provided basic shampoo, conditioner, and soaps in every bathroom, which is a big plus for a quick trip. Conveniently located (15 minute drive to just about anything.)Decorating is minimal—bedrooms have only beds and side tables but no dressers. Kitchen is not equipped for a large amount of cooking. Water heater needs updating, as my family of five had to stagger showers just to have hot water for basic, quick showers. And this house definitely does NOT sleep eleven, unless several people’s sleep on floors. The upstairs “futons” were just pillows on the floor, but both the second and third bedrooms had twin trundle beds under the queens.“Game room” has a pool table/air hockey/ ping pong combo that my kids really appreciated. Other than a checkers/chess set and a game of monopoly, that’s all that was there.I would not recommend this for a long stay, a big group, or anyone looking to spend lots of time hanging out at home. But if you need a comfortable, basic place to stay while you are out all day, this could be a good fit for you."
