The place was dirty, tub didn’t drain when showering, toilet ran, housekeeping walked into the room even though the do not disturb sign was on the door! Staff barely acknowledged you! Overall not worth the money spent for a night and thankful it was just one night!

Checked into the room after a long day of travel to get a call from the front desk at 9:45 pm for me to come to the front desk because the computer went down. I asked to take care of it in the morning but was told this had to be done immediately. Got dressed went to the front desk and was told to WRITE my credit card number and information on a piece of paper! This is a complete breech of security. But we also didn’t want to be kicked to the street. NOT HAPPY ABOUT ANY OF THIS!

Window shades did not work.
When we arrived to the hotel they put us in a handicap room. The room had electric curtains but they did not work. When I called the front desk after we got to room he said I had to "play with it for a while to get it to work correctly" After wasting 15 minutes of my time "Playing with it" I called again and he came up and couldn't get it to work either. He said he had no other room big enough to switch us to. This room over looked the front entrance with the light coming in the window all night. We ended up putting a towel up to block as much light as possible from coming in to sleep. For as much as we paid for this hotel I wasn't expecting to have light shining in our room all night because the window shades didn't work.

The receptionist was great! When I got there he was doing some rounds because there was a woman in the building who wasn’t staying there. He told her she could wait outside until she found arrangements, which was a good call. However, he did inform me that my room door was cracked open during his rounds and not to be alarmed, as he had checked the room. When I got to my room the internal brass lock was holding the door open. I proceeded inside with extreme caution and checked all areas of the room. The only thing off was a cup of pink liquid on the coffee bar. I disposed of it, but I felt a bit unsettled at first. Everything seemed in order when I left and came back, thankfully.

This Holiday Inn Express was comfortable, clean and modern. I truly appreciate a full-size bathroom with a spacious counter and the sink INSIDE the bathroom. I can’t stand when the sink is outside. Dove products with full-sized dispensers for shampoo, conditioner, body wash, hand wash and lotion was very nice. The fridge is a good size. Coffee maker, iron, hair dryer and a complimentary water the first day of stay. Would have liked a do not disturb sign to hang on the outside of door. Most staff was friendly and they need a new pancake maker because it malfunctioned each morning we were there (three-day stay). It was very quiet, never heard another guest until they were placed in a room directly above us. We heard every step they took, very creaky. Pool and pool area was kinda small and a number of people smoked out there. I never inquired if that was allowed, but I didn’t see signs regarding it. Overall a very pleasant stay and would highly recommend.

We got virtually no sleep. The doors in the hall were very loud and when they banged it caused our door to also bang. The mini fridge was extremely loud. I would have unplugged it except we needed it. Great location.

Was my first at time in Florida and at a Holiday Inn Express. Facility was clean, staff nice. Didn't like the fact that because I used a different card to pay. Couldn't get a receipt for stay at time of check out..... Flight was at 6:20 a.m.
