Leeds Marriott Hotel

10/10 Excellent

"Lovely clean hotel in the centre of Leeds close to just about everything, hotel staff were really helpful and friendly. A quieter bar area would have been nice for the family as this was adjoined to the main Gino d’campo restaurant which was really busy - the added extra ‘executive lounge’ would have been nice but not worth the additional cost. Family room very spacious with two double beds great size for our family of 4. Impressed Good to know you can park outside for drop off purposes / to check in and get 20mins (would have nice to know this in advance as it was quite stressful when busy) parking is half price at Trinty around the corner (£18.50 per night) which is really difficult to manoeuvre into and around so be careful. We used Qpark at Albion street for the first night as unaware the hotel had this partnership and replied to my query too late. Staff very helpful on reception though. Breakfast was superb, honestly the best I’ve had in many hotels, not huge variety but everything g perfectly cooked. Would stay here again"

"We enjoyed two nights at the Clayton Hotel in Leeds. The staff we encountered were friendly and helpful. The location suited our needs and the onsite, reasonably priced car parking was a big plus. We ate one evening meal at the hotel and it was very tasty. Breakfast was OK but nothing special. The main thing that stops me giving this a higher score was the broken drawer and damaged bathroom door. Which we mentioned on leaving as they were minor inconveniences/unsightly rather than, needed to be fixed there and then. Otherwise our room was comfortable and clean."

"If your only reason to visit is to play golf, this hotel is your place. Otherwise, there’s nothing much else to do, especially if you have younger children. The services that staff provide are good, but limited to what they can really provide for a Spa type of hotel, including restaurant services."

"The hotel & the rooms are very nice, my only negative comment would be the rooms are too warm - there is a fan in the room, but it’s not very powerful. Even with the windows open it wasn’t cooling down (it wasn’t overly hot outside - about 24/25 degrees) Apart from that, I couldn’t fault it."
