We had a fantastic stay. Truly a unique property with water on 3 sides- the sounds of waves feeling more like ocean surf! Sunrise and sunsets were amazing! And the birds were incredible even in the off season. Easy drive to Point Pelee Natuonal Park with the park pass an added bonus.

This is a nice bright space. The views were amazing. We found the seating in all areas to be good. The 2 bedrooms are small but the beds were comfy. Great outside spaces. All in all, it was a better experience than we expected.

Nice quiet place to stay, very comfortable beds, fully equipped kitchen. But shelves, hangers and/or drawers missing in bedrooms, we had to leave our clothes in luggages, not very practical.

The views were gorgeous in every direction! Several comfortable seating areas both inside and out. Issues: one bed was advertised as Queen but had a double mattress on a queen boxspring. Second, easy to trip on the steps going toward our car. Would help to paint the top steps. Finally, not enough light in the kitchen. Stove, shower, Keurig all worked well.

Perfect location for birding

Pointe Pelee is 10 km away, and a pass is included. The property is at the end of the road, next to the lake and the marsh. Lots of windows and deck space. Comfortable seating. Views of both sunrise and sunset.

The cottage is on a point, and the view was absolutely amazing, even more beautiful than the pictures indicated! The cottage itself is clean, with stellar views from every room. We did have an issue with the septic tank on the day before we left. It was full and we were no longer able to flush the toilet. Unfortunately, Frank was unable to have it pumped until the next day, which was a bit of a bother as we had to make a few runs to Timmies to use their washrooms. However, Frank was very apologetic and responsive, and we understand that he did his best to expedite getting the tank pumped. Even with this little hiccup, we would definitely book to stay in this cottage again, but for longer next time!

You can watch both the sunrise and sunset from this beautiful property! There is water all around and so many amazing birds. Loved it!

This was our second time staying here, and while it was a different experience since we went weeks earlier than before, we LOVED it again! The deck and views are simply SPECTACULAR and is the reason we will come back yet again in the future (though the landscape is changing due to climate change - a couple trees were washed away just from a year ago!) While we didn’t see many new birds this time, we were crazy lucky to have watched 9 trumpeter swans call the marsh their home during our whole stay! The included Pelee pass is also so convenient, as we went in and out with ease all week. We cooked at the cottage this time around, and the grill and appliances all worked great (but we do recommend Moonlight Grill, Gingerbread House, and Joey’s Seafood restaurants!) Remember to bring your own side tables for sleeping if you need them like us, and there’s nothing but salt and pepper to cook with in case you’re making up a grocery list! Other than that, sit back and enjoy the breathtaking scenery!

Great place if you like to relax on your vacation

This property is definitely a 5 star worth. Anything what is in the listing is there plus more. The view, birds and the outdoor porch gives you definitely things to see anytime of the day. Close drive to the national and provincial parks.

Spring Migration

The setting was beautiful! Water on three sides and picture windows to take full advantage. During the migration, great bird watching. Host was quickly responded when contacted.

Spectacular Location, Peaceful Break

This cottage was perfect for our stay with two teens. The 300 degree views of the water are simply spectacular- like nothing I’ve ever seen. We loved checking out the birds, the lake and exploring Point Pelee National Park. Also super drivable to other local gems like wineries and markets. We’ll definitely be back!
