The Space:
Pine Street Retreat is a renovated 1-bedroom, 1-bath Victorian cottage (676 sq ft) at 710 Pine Street, one block off Harrison Avenue in downtown Leadville. Sleeps 2.
Living room: Sofa, electric fireplace, Sonos sound system, 55-inch smart TV with Netflix and Hulu. Desk at the front window with WiFi.
Bedroom: King bed. Stacked washer and dryer in the closet. A door opens straight to the backyard and hot tub.
Kitchen: Compact - electric range and oven, microwave, apartment-size refrigerator with a small freezer, coffee bar (drip, pour-over, grinder, kettle), cookware and dishes. Dining table seats 4.
Bathroom: One full bath with a shower/tub combination.
Backyard: Fenced yard with a year-round hot tub, outdoor sectional and dining table under string lights, and the dog door from the bedroom.
3 Pros:
- Park once - Main Street restaurants, bars and coffee are a 1-block walk
- Dog door to a fenced yard (2 pets max)
- The hot tub runs year-round - guests soak while it snows
2 Cons:
- The yard backs onto the alley and one fence section is chain-link, so the hot tub is not fully screened from passers-by
- Compact kitchen with an apartment-size fridge - right for breakfasts and simple dinners, not a week of big cooking

Getting Around:
You will want a car; there is no public transit or reliable rideshare in Leadville.
From Denver (DEN): about 2 hours via I-70 West to Highway 91 South over Fremont Pass (11,318 ft). Check cotrip.org in winter; AWD or chains recommended November to April.
From Eagle/Vail (EGE): about 1 hour with less mountain-pass driving.
Once here, downtown is a 1-block walk, with dining and shops on foot. Ski resorts and trailheads are a 12 to 45 minute drive. Free street parking in front of the home.

No A/C. At 10,152 ft, Leadville rarely needs it. Summer highs run 65 to 75 F; portable fans are provided and the windows open for a mountain breeze.
Pets welcome (2 max); a per-stay pet fee applies and is collected at online check-in. The fenced backyard has a dog door off the bedroom, so your dog can come and go.
The yard is fenced; one section on the alley side is chain-link, so the hot tub is not fully screened from the alley.
Altitude is real at 10,152 ft. Drink extra water, take your first day easy, and consider travel insurance. Symptoms can include headaches and nausea; we cannot refund for altitude sickness.
Mountain living: you may encounter local wildlife or insects, part of the experience at altitude. We keep the home well sealed but recommend keeping doors closed when possible.
Stairs to enter the home. 2 guests maximum. Check-in after 4:00 PM, checkout by 10:00 AM.

The stay was excellent - perfect for a couple traveling with pets. The place was very thoughtfully appointed. Super close and walkable to main street Leadville. The hosts were very responsive and easy to communicate with. The hot tub was excellent! We would definitely stay here again next time we're in Leadville.
This property is such a gem! Communication with the property manager were fantastic. The property is incredibly well appointed and very cozy. We appreciated the fenced in yard for our pup and enjoyed the hot tub immensely.
Had a lovely stay in Leadville for the first weekend of spring. House was a block from downtown. Hot tub was fantastic for a snowy ski weekend. Went to The Famous for a wonderful dinner, fabulous service.
Great location, the place was very nice and clean. The management company was quick to respond, but initial directions were a bit confusing. I would recommend staying here
My visit to Leadville for the annual “Boom Days” celebration was awesome. The cornerstone to the great visit was the house we rented. Clean, comfortable, exactly as advertised and the hosts were quick to respond to the 2 questions I asked them for help with.
This house was perfect for our getaway to Leadville. Just one block from the main street of shops and restaurants. The views from the standing desk work area can't be beat, with Mt. Elbert and the whole range as your backdrop. It had everything we needed and we'd definitely stay here again if we go back to Leadville.
Great rental property for a couple. Location is ideal on a quiet street that is a short walk to downtown Leadville and interesting restaurants/coffee houses/bars/shops. The interior of this historic house has been updated and decorated in a modern and very stylish way. The property manager is very attentive and the check in and check out process was easy and efficient.
We enjoyed the quaint home in Leadville. It fitted our needs appropriately. Our dogs ebjoyed the fenced in yards and were ready to get our and go by the time we were there. We would like to suggest a couple of pillows on the couch for comfort but other than that it was perfect for a comfy vacation stay.
Great spot close to town. Hot tub is perfect after a day of adventuring. Bed is super comfy, space is clean and welcoming. Will definitely try to book again.

Great little house. Perfect for the 2 of us. Cozy and clean. Great host too.
We enjoyed our stay in Leadville. The house was exactly as advertised. It was very close to stores and restaurants and reasonably priced for the time that we went. I wish there had been instructions on when the garbage picked up. I didn't see any big bins outside so we just left it in the house. We were only there for 5 days so there wasn't too much. The hot tub was wonderful after a day of hiking. It was very clean.
Perfect home and location for our stay in Leadville
Charming home close to the center of Leadville. Perfect for me and my daughter visiting Leadville. Parking was convenient. The caretaker was very responsive and helpful.
